Beautiful place but not for tent camping. We booked it for end of May and all sites were booked, while we’ve seen a lot of spots empty. The roads are planned the way you have to drive around all section (A,B,C) to get to your spot and folks drive a lot back and forth, you feel like you camp on a highway curb side. All (I mean all) the sites were packed with RVs, no other tent campers except us. That means generators, loud music, large number of people per site. We have booked C35 site and next to us on C34 were 4 huge RVs and 4 trucks parked, with a tent and gazebo setup like a gipsy camp of 50 people. I would never stay there. Privacy, quiet sounds of nature and lake waves? Forget it. Awful experience, we didn’t stay even one night there. They shouldn’t allow tent camping with RVs. If I knew that, I would never have booked this campsite. I don’t even mention the 15km twisty gravel road to get to this place, at 30-40km/h it takes quite a long time to get there so plan accordingly.

This campground has sensible rules. Generator etiquette, quiet hours, no loud music, speed limits for boats, etc. Unfortunately, the caretaker and staff are too gutless to enforce ANY of them. If you want to enjoy camping, this is not the place for you. If you want to hear generators at all hours and people's awful playlists blasting while they drink double the alcohol they can handle and scream like banshees all night, then by all means, go here.

Just spent the weekend here. Had a great time. Washrooms are clean. Sites are a decent size. Lake was lovely. No cell service for the most part. Bring your own water. No store on site closest stores are about 45 minutes away. Firewood $1 per piece. Will definitely go back. Caretaker was very friendly and drove around often.

Great place to camp in the west Central area of Alberta. Have to travel on a bit of gravel to get there, approx 12 km's of it. Lake is a good size. Lots of canoes and kayaks on the lake. Power boats are allowed , but cannot go over 12 km/hr. Fishing is decent, with both Pike and Perch in there. Nice long lake, and in a kayak you would be most of the day going all the way around it. Campsites are pretty decent. Stayed in A5 our selves. Big enough for our 24 ft trailer, and our own private beach access. Has a day use area and a group site as well. Only downside, no power/water sites. Firewood is free. Two hiking trails as well. One ends up on a nice hill over looking the lake.
