Medora Campground

The location is great as it’s next to everything but the campground needs a little love. Maybe some gravel and some leveling and little less mud. Maybe some down lighting to replace the stadium lights that make you feel like you’re in an interrogation room, and some shade would be nice. We left to go to the amphitheater and got back after dark to find someone in our site even though we had a screen room and chairs. We knocked on the door and asked them to leave which they did but I wouldn’t leave any valuables when you go out. The place serves its purpose but they could do better.

You're stacked in there like a deck of cards,u definitely want the newer side to the west the older part of the campground looked a little sketchy. Conveniently located near the south entrance oh teddy Roosevelt national park. Definitely better than red trail campground. Showers were pretty good,never had to wait for a shower and good hot water,no fire ring,just charcoal grill.

Location of this park is great, very close to town and close to the National Park. The campground needs a lot of work. Very dusty, they need to gravel the roads, sites are literally on top of one another! Hard to sit at your picnic table because you are right next to your neighbors sewer line! If they would just put a little money into the park it could be nice. Bathrooms are decent, nothing special. Thinking next time of boondocks in the NP, at least there your not right on top of each other

The Medora campground is in a very convenient location within walking distance of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park visitor center and the cute town of Medora. The campground has various camp sites for tents and both large and small RVs. The campground has full hookups, including electric, which is key in the warmer months. There is also a small camp store, laundry and two bath houses. The sites are tight with little space between them. However, we thought having the full hookups and the central location of the campground were a fair trade-off for the tight space. Additionally, we were gone most of each day since there is so much to do in the area that the small outdoor space by each site didn't really matter.

Great location and easy booking! Campsites were well maintained, and the staff checking us in were nice and helpful. There’s not much to do at the campground itself, but we went into town and explored the national park, which was lovely. Perfect base for visiting Medora.
