Amazing! We always try to visit the lakeshore when we can. After a stay at Double JJ, I opened google maps and found this park was only 15 minutes away. We plan to come back. We visited December 30th, 2023 around noon and the weather was good. There was still frost on the sand that hadn’t seen sun.

Great park lots of parking. The beach was great not busy at all. The campground that is part of the park also let us fill our water tank. Everyone in the campground was in a great mood and seemed like a great place to relax.

My wife and I came to the area in March last year for our honeymoon, and we meandered over here. It was so beautiful and picturesque. We loved this place.

No management. They leave for hours and don't come back when it says on the we will return sign closed the day park 1 and a 1/2 hours early everyday. Over all its a nice park. Just need to get some one in here that knows how to run it.

Nice campground. We've been here a couple of times. Always been quiet and peaceful. Lots are good size so easy to get into. Each lot has own fire pit. Short walk to lake Michigan.

Very nice beach. It's Lake Michigan, so the water itself is equally nice everywhere around here. This beach, though, is particularly good. You can walk quite a ways in either direction and remain in the peaceful, secluded parkland. Despite lake levels being up just about everywhere, there's still a fairly wide strip of sand; in the past (and likely again in the future), there was a vast expanse of that wonderfully fine Lake Michigan sand, big enough to run around and throw a ball in without running into sunbathers. There's a little stream that used to be fun for kids to play in but is now stagnant and kinda gross, but you can still fish in it. There's a pretty sizable dune to can climb, too. At the entrance of the beach, at the top of the sand dune, there's a couple benches, a picnic table, and a wooden walkway, all with excellent views overlooking the lake. These elevated, relatively comfortable places to chill out make this one of the best places around to catch a sunset. On the other side of the parking lot, there's a small but charmingly old-fashioned playground with a few more picnic tables and a couple grills, in a shady (if often bug-infested) area. There are also legit bathrooms with running water. There is a fee to get in, but you have a good chance of avoiding it, particularly at off-peak hours, as it seems they often don't staff the little booth, instead just leaving the gate open.

Our first time at Mienert Pines and we loved the park! Clean, nice lots, variety of activities, very reasonable lot fees with full hook ups! Plus an adorable young, newly married couple manage the park and office. Several dune hikes and the Flower Creek Nature Preserve trails are accessible from the beach. Quick walk or very short drive to Lake Michigan, playground and more restrooms. Meinert Pines is on out top list now.

Loved it. Hubby got to see his first frozen, almost glacial, ice chunks on Lake Michigan. He was mesmerized by it. Very beautiful. Expansive sand beach and dunes in the area. Very cool to see. Well kept, no litter all around. The small river coming off of the lake was marked as contaminated, do not touch the water. But still, it was pretty too. Would be great during summer beach days too!

Great stretches of beach where you can relax and enjoy kite surfers or bring along a boogie board and enjoy the waves without concern of disrupting swimmers or kids playing. Great spot! Easy parking and access, some decent small hikes for the family and a very clean beach. ♡
