This RV park has a wide variety of FHU sites; 100,200,300 mostly shady, 400 larger open, but the 426-432 pull throughs are very tight. Our site 401 was level, spacious, with great wifi, and plenty of room for our 45’ and toad. Do not enter the campground on Bradford Road, follow the directions for Stringham Road off W Main Road.

This was a nice quiet RV park, not much in the way of amenities to support the price. Close to area things to do. Unfortunately there was a crazy Nor’easter going on for the entire weekend (weather was ok when we arrived and then until the afternoon of the next day). We did venture out to Newport and did some shopping, running in and out of shops in the rain. Employees at the campground were pleasant, we had to call to let them know we’d be late on arrival due to many traffic backups. The woman gave me detailed instructions about where to find the late check-in box and how to find the place. There are 2 ways in off the main road, one is better (Stringham Rd) than the other. Store was disappointing, thankfully we didn’t need anything in a pinch. If the weather had been better I’m sure we would have enjoyed hanging out outside by the campfire and having a lovely time.

My wife and I didn’t actually stay there. In fact, we had just stayed at a nearby state park campground, but we needed assistance with some local logistics. Amanda was super friendly and helpful and went out of her way to assist us, even though we had not been guests of the park. She absolutely helped make the rest of our day in Newport a great one. If this is indicative of their service, I can only imagine how nice it would be to stay at that park. Which we will do next time we are in that area…

Such a convenient location; it's like being in town, yet removed from it. All the shops you could want within two miles. We stayed here for the Newport Jazz Festival and couldn't have been happier with the location. Even a vineyard within 15 minutes, as well as a beach! Park staff are all wonderful!

It is more like a 3.5 stars. The staff is amazing and friendly. They have a variety of site choices. You can be surrounded by trees or in the wide open. The sites are nice and level. They have a small playground but that's about it. There is the biggest dog park I've ever seen just down the street... your dog will love it. It belongs to the city. They have a big pavilion with picnic tables. Something I wasn't expecting was the low price for doing laundry... only $3.50 to wash and dry!! It is pricey considering there isn't much in the way of amenities.
