We stayed here for a week in early October and had a lovely experience. The camp hosts greeted us immediately and were very friendly. The campground wasn’t busy and was well kept and quiet - including the bathrooms! Great location. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Very nice campground with partial hook ups, they offer water and electric but no sewer hook up or dump station. Very quiet beautiful park on the Sycamore river near downtown Red Bluff, would definitely recommend.

Small but nicely maintained campsite. The host was friendly and informative. Would have been perfect if there were more bathrooms.

A very nice campground considering the location, near town and near the I-5. The camp host was excellent, running a "tight ship" while being very polite. Clean restrooms. We camped in early Spring, so temperatures were quite mild, but it likely is hot in the summer. No dump station near by (at least they I could find)

Nestled along the north side of the Sacramento River, just southeast of Red Bluff, CA, Sycamore Grove Campground is a well-maintained USFS campground that offers a peaceful retreat with great amenities at a bargain price. Open year-round, this campground is perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway with access to scenic trails, a boat ramp, and even a disc golf course. Campground Experience I recently spent two nights here and was impressed by how well the campground is maintained. The camp host (a volunteer) takes their job seriously but is friendly and welcoming. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly and given helpful information about the campground’s amenities and rules. Cell Service: Verizon users will be happy to know that the cell coverage is strong, making it easy to stay connected. Site Options: Several sites with electric and water hookups are available for just $30 per night, which is a fantastic deal. Non-electric sites are only $16 per night. Amenities: Showers are available but require quarters, and there is no change machine on-site, so bring plenty if you plan to use them. No dump station is available, which is something to consider for RV campers. Quiet & Wildlife: The area is peaceful, with a strict quiet time from 10 PM to 6 AM (including generators). However, you can hear the train across the river, so light sleepers might want to bring earplugs. Activities & Features One of the best parts of this campground is the scenic walking trails that weave through the woodlands and along the river. The boat ramp is a nice feature for those wanting to get out on the water, and the disc golf course adds a fun recreational option. There’s also a group campsite for larger gatherings. Important Notes Pet Policy: Only two dogs per campsite are allowed, and they must be leashed at all times. Cash Considerations: Bring quarters for showers and any cash you may need, as no change services are available. Final Thoughts Sycamore Grove Campground is an excellent choice for a peaceful, affordable camping experience with great access to the Sacramento River. The friendly camp host, well-maintained sites, and various amenities make it a fantastic spot for tent and RV campers. I would stay here again, especially for the electric sites at just $30 per night!
