Very nice camping spot with lots of green grass, trees and shade at the campsites. Bathrooms were clean. I believe they had showers too. Some really nice walking a bike trails around too. Boat launch and a couple small areas to swim. Be careful swimming as it's a river with a current and no life guards. Water is cold but so clean. I would definitely come back. Red Bluff can get very very hot in summer but this place has lots of big trees with shade covering the campsites. Bunch of big beautiful oak trees and then some big cottonwood trees making a very nice Grove. Awesome views of Mount Shasta in some spots too. Check out the paved trail for the best view of Mount Shast.

Lots of bugs. Need quarters for shower. Although didn't have tent. Tried to make shift a sleeping place for the night. Camp host came over as soon as I arrived. She was pleasant, but unable to place my hammock as trees to far apart. Haven't checked bathrooms or showers.one night then on the road again.

Quiet smaller campground. Enjoyed our stay, close enough to town if you forgot something. Bathrooms are clean and have showers. People respected the quiet time. Boat ramp close by. Pull-through & back-in sites with water and electricity, and tent sites available. If you're looking for inexpensive camping this is it. Camp hosts are very nice and informative. We had sites 14 & 15 both pull-through, water & electricity. Plenty of room for 11 people (1 travel trailer and 3 tents) had plenty of room for the kids to run and play between the 2 sites. These sites lacked shade around the picnic tables but we knew that ahead of time because we visited before hand and brought our screened in canopy

Stayed one night at sycamore camp grounds, red bluff, ca. and quickly realized the community had filtered a big amount of the homeless population to the park. Loud obnoxious, suspicious activity all night. Finished up with a altercation at daybreak between their population in which 911 was called. I would be concerned leaving my trailer here to get supplies and basic safety. I hate it for those who had children for all the chaos. Apparently common occurrence as of late. I wouldn't recommend this place and definitely won't be coming back.

I'll add my two cents. All the amenities mentioned are spot on. Green grass, trails and a nature preserve next door with some amazing local info! I hate giving away my gem spots but this one deserves recognition. I'd like to address the couple who are the camp hosts. They both work hard throughout the day/evening and it shows in the camps condition! Clean and well trimmed all the time! Most people may avoid a host chat unless they have a problem but I would encourage you to stop and say hello when they are not too busy! It is a throwback to hosts of years ago in how warm and friendly they are. Get a spot near them and just watch how they treat the guests to this park and you will see what I mean. Not affiliated and no dog on the fight but this is a gem in a world of stone. P.S. Treat it as such!!
