This is a well kept campsite, 300 acres with every campsite imaginable. Wooded, scenic views, cabins etc. In the summer this place will be hopping, with a swimming pool, playground, outside cinema screen, pickle ball and many more activities. All prices within the campground are reasonable. Mini golf $3. The bath house has small stalls not handicap friendly. It is on the expensive side . It is very family orientated.

If Zero Stars was an option, that would be my rating. Stayed for 3 days with another family and this was our experience that has made us never want to return and warn others not to even check it out. Site C-3 had a sewer drain failure of massive proportions. A clogged drain sent a piss-n-poop fountain two feet into the air and flooded the site. A waterfall of human waste poured down the hillside into site C-4 and beyond. The sight and smell were what you can imagine, absolutely horrible. Management was contacted immediately but no one arrived on scene for 30 mins. Meanwhile the sewage continued to flow. We were allowed to move sites, so nice not to have to remain in a field of used toilet paper and poop, but no other discount provided for time lost of my vacation or the hardship endured. When we left the next day (24 hours later) the mess was still there, untouched by the team at Merry Meadows. Hopefully no one was seriously made ill by the possible contact of unknown pathogens distributed on the sites. It is unheard of in a consumer business, not to try and appease the customer. Especially one that had to deal with this crap!

We were a little reluctant to try Merry Meadows after hearing some negative reviews. However, most were about strict rule enforcement and we don't mind some rules. That being said, we didn't experience any issues with rules. Everyone was pleasant and the common areas were well-maintained. Our issue was when half way through our stay the sewer at our site turned into a volcano flooding our site with sewage. We weren't dumping at the time, so this was 100% a campground issue. The picture attached isn't mud....all sewage with chunks of toilet paper. We had to sanitize everything, pack up and move to a new site. This sewage explosion also ran into our neighbors campsite destroying their site as well. We understand that things happen, but they were completely uninterested in offering up any significant compensation. They best they would offer was 15% off one night stay in the future which amounts to about $12. No thank you. $12 isn't worth the 3 hours of completely repulsive disruption of our mini-vacation for both us and our friends that were camping with us. We are super disappointed because the driving range was a big plus for our family. However, we can't continue to support a business that doesn't care about its customers.

This was my first visit to Merry Meadows and I can only say that it was OK. I was hoping to have a relaxing weekend, and to watch some football. On Friday night after checking in, I found it impossible to be able to sign into their "Free Wifi". We called the office and was told that they would put in service call. During the next day, my wife stopped in the office and again and inquired and said again that they would have someone stop by the site. They said that we should be able to watch TV. Later, a gentleman stopped by to look at the problem. He originally said after checking his phone that the site is showing 4-5 bars. He then checked the box and said that the tower box was turned off. He turned it on and we then had service. Now, we never opened that tower box so I think that when a camper checks out, if staff stops by the site to clean out the firepit, it should be routine that they also check the tower box. Easy fix. Also, we had site PH5. A nice site located by the playground and other activity areas. If we ever come back, I will never stay at PH5 again. If you dump your black tank, it travels out the hose but the pipe to the septic is about 15-18 inches high so needless to say, the contents won't go the whole was to the tank. Cut the pipe down. And now that I'm trying to clean up to leave, all of my nearby campers and I are losing water. The place has potential but I doubt that I will return.

Bottom Line: The campground has a lot of potential and seems to be working toward it. We didn’t experience the “mean staff” mentioned in other reviews, but many amenities were closed during our stay. Pros: Pool & Splash Pad: Perfectly sized with plenty to keep kids entertained all day. The gated splash pad was a standout for safety and fun. Snack Bar: Tasty options at great prices—including soft serve ice cream! Campsite: Spacious and well-spread-out sites, with many wooded and private options. Ours was right next to the pool and playground (no shade, but came with a pavilion over the picnic table). Amenities (when available): Bull riding, mini golf, arcade, driving range, BB shooting, bounce house, rock wall, large swing, trikes, park, RC track, gem mining, and more. Cons: No Scheduled Activities: A seasonal guest play was offered, but we didn’t attend and can’t speak to its quality. Single Dumpster Location: Only one trash drop-off for the entire campground. Limited Amenity Hours: Most attractions were closed. Only the arcade, pool, and mining were open—and only from 12–7 PM. Cash-Only System: All activities required cash, and the on-site ATM was out of order. We had to leave the grounds to find one, which was also down.

I see a constant theme of people complaining about the staff and rules, etc. In our opinion, MM has no more rules than any other campground we go to and to date, we or anyone is our group has had any issues. They have invested a lot of money into the new pool and splash pad area. In our opinion, the ONLY item that needs work are the bathhouses up at the pool area, they are dated, however, this is us being nit picky. Lorraine and Harry at the office have never been anything short of welcoming and warm to us. The sites are huge, great field, great playground, putt putt, you name it. The pricing is just right, and if you are a fan of local breweries, Big Truck is 4.5 miles away! Now granted everyone's experience is their own, however, this is a gem in the Baltimore County hills.

Google maps accurately lead our RV right to our Merry Meadows destination. Our site was recently reconstructed and muddy when it rained. Unfortunately, golf carts are ONLY allowed if you have a permanent site. Lots of amenities offer activities for all ages that will keep you entertained. No need to leave campground.

It's a decent place but unfortunately I do feel that the charge too much for what it is. No disrespectful intentions..... they were very nice.

There are too many rules that take away from a campground , family vacation. I have no problems with rules as they are a part of life. However when I see so many people breaking all the rules of no fire, no electric bikes/scooters or golf carts if you are not a permanent site, I have to question. I often book multiple sites for other camping friends of mine and this time after many years I was told, after arriving, I cannot do that due to insurance regulations? After dozens of visits I am unsure that I want to return. This was 10/24-10/27.

Nice little campground we enjoyed our stay yet there's not much to do if you have young children small playground and the jump pillow and jungle jim haven't been cleaned in awhile as they were full of dirt and water. The scheduled evening activities were canceled due to wind which included a bonfire and we were told we could have a fire at our site instead which we did. And the seasonal people fly down the roads at all hour's other then that it is peaceful

We have lived here full time more on than off for 17 mos. We found the park to be safe, the services and amenities and price adequate, and the beautiful 300 + acre setting without equal. I have seen some negative reviews with regards to the amenities, the utilities/infrastructure and rules of the park and even witnessed some who did not comply to said rules escorted by the police off the premises. First the water and sewer have never been too serious of an issue, yes there have been a few outages and low pressure situations that have come up yet they were handled quickly. These issues were minor and should be expected from a property of this age that stays open year round, which few do. Management is tough in enforcement of their rules I think solely in an effort to keep Merry Meadows free of riff-raff, ya-hoos, unruly kids, and speeders. Many times people today have unrealistic expectations when there is very little that is perfection in the world these days. These folks are good and are putting forth a good product.

my mother had to cancel a reservation here after my father just passed away. these people didn’t even have enough sympathy to waive a cancellation fee. even though there was more than enough time. my parents had been camping here for a couple seasons. she didn’t want to return because she’s grieving. heartless company. soulless. i can tell you none of my family or friends will be coming here ever again. ever. and we’ll be telling everyone we know as well. honestly, this place isn’t even that great. been to better we’ll make memories in better.

All employees as well as other guests are kind and courteous. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. There isn't enough words to describe how much we enjoy being here

Stayed Sept 2021 for short weekend getaway. Stayed in 1 of 3 new deluxe cabins. Descriptions depicted bunk beds, queen bed, table, kitchenette and bathroom in 2 of 3. We stayed in 1 with bathroom. Arrived to find no table. Surprised to find the only one with table has no bathroom. Also had ant problem on kitchen counter. Got all over our food. Cable was broken, only found out after asking how it worked. Front porch was great and highlight of the cabin.

Most sites are a nice size if you are lucky enough to get one. Lots of trees which provides that camping experience. Camp store is extremely under stocked. Water pressure is good in some areas and in others not so much. I have seen many improvements being made. I hope the owner continues to make improvements because this campground has lots of potential.
