Teddy Roosevelt called the Superstition Mountains "the most beautiful panorama nature has created." You'll see why not far from the Mesa/Apache Junction KOA, where giant saguaro cacti rise from the Sonoran Desert floor against a backdrop of craggy granite ramparts. Drive the 145-mile Apache Trail loop, resplendent with deep canyons, rugged trails and pristine lakes. Also nearby, climb a short path up to ancient cliff-dweller Indian ruins at Tonto National Monument. Explore with off-road jeep tours or guided horseback rides into the foothills. Phoenix is 30 miles west of the campground, with great restaurants, museums and a choice of Major League Baseball spring training games. A heated pool, a hot tub, assorted games and fine hospitality await at KOA. Savor them as the sun sets over the mountains. Pool: Open all year. Max pull thru: 65 feet.

We visited a friend who was staying at the campground. The location is in a quiet area of AJ. The campground was clean and well maintained. From the looks of it there are plenty of electrical hookups, as well as water and sewer. To be honest, I kind of forgot about KOA’s despite them being popular in the 70’s and 80’s. But they literally have campgrounds everywhere in the U.S. and they all have the same clean, friendly status. We are out in the desert, so it will not be like your other campgrounds with tall, shady pines or oaks. It is still a good place to consider if you are looking for a place to camp. Almost forgot, they do have a swimming pool.

This koa is not to far from the highway, far enough to not hear the traffic at night, the customer service was incredible, above and beyond, Way better than most of the hotels in vegas, vegas resident since 86, I will definitely be staying again next time I go to mesa. I recommend this place to anyone that wants a nice friendly and quite place to camp overnight at, they have spaces for tents, rv hookups and camptrailer pull through. Pet friendly, and they also have cabins available, we stayed in one of the cabins, it had a set of bunk beds and a full size bed. air-conditioning, microwave, mini fridge and a tv plus free WiFi, honestly the best night sleep I have had in years

Nice and quiet RV park! They also have tent camping spots and cabins you can rent. The campgrounds is close to the Superstition mountains, which are beautiful to look at any time of day! The managers and their staff are so helpful. I believe we'll be here for quite some time.

I recently stay there in my RV. I was very impressed by the staff and their willingness to help the customers. Everyone I spoke to was giving of their time and knowledge. I would like to say thank you to Piper. She provided vital storm information to me on my first night, that helped keep some of my things from being ruined. I hope to see her and the rest of the staff next year.

We had a great stay! Everything was clean and tidy, pool was fantastic, and staff was super helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back if we are ever in that area again.
