What the hill? 😂 The campground is hilly and full of trees, however the website has decent explanations of each site (which makes me a happy camper). Pros: Close to civilization with the feel of being far from it. Good cell reception at the campgrounds. The campgrounds are clean, the bathroom is nice, shower rooms are individual, and the road is smooth. Cons: The dump station is on a hill (almost certain there is black water lingering in my pipes because of the odd angle draining it). Rv goers, bring a jack, some leveling blocks, and a 30amp extension cord. The site itself I have two issues with, they could add more gravel to help level out the sites for RV’s and the power connection too far back in the corner.

This is by far the worst campground we’ve been to in our 20 years of camping. We had to check in at the visitor station, and the visitor station is not equipped for a 32 foot to behind camper to turn around in. It Upon check-in, they did not have maps or printouts of activities. The turned to enter the campground portion was extremely tight again. This was not built for campers. To say our site was on level would be an understatement! And it was loud. Very loud. In looking at the dump station on the way out, we are not sure how it could possibly work. It’s very tight, on a steep hill.

I have to start by saying this campground would be wonderful if you had a tent or a very Small pop-up. We have a 30 foot travel trailer and tried two different sites and we could not fit. The staff was very friendly and we were refunded our money. We had to go find another campground so please be aware that these are very small sites. Campground was built in 1976 it is difficult to maneuver with modern RVs. Also, the dump station is on a hill in the entrance and I can’t even imagine what that would be like if more than one person was in line

Some of the spots are a little tight or awkward for a camper..or unlevel, especially in comparison to the Google Map walkthrough. The ladies in the welcome center were helpful in accommodating us new RV campers. The coons are little cuttle troublemakers. Overall we will definitely be back. Makes for a quick trip into Cincy.
