I only give honest reviews. Came here to see the park because of the reviews & I like it quiet its their off season I was told well better make sure you bring a portable potty as non will be open to you and everything will be closed. My question is This is a State Park which Tax payers pay for. Why is it closed for 6 months out of the yr and where does all that money they collect for the 6 months they are close go to and don't give me for upgraded and remodeling as I will call BS on it. As too many people live on the island and pay to live there. So,granted it was nice and quiet as I got to hear nature at its best until mother nature called. And no to your question, Someone was nice to let me use their restroom. And its sad when residence can't even tell you anything about where they live. And 1 restaurant was close due to staffing until the 23. So yes they get a 1 star. Ohio better do better on their State Parks.

We docked at the marina for a couple of days. Great marina with floating docks. Very quiet. My only complaint is that the wifi was terrible, and so is the cell service, so plan on being disconnected if you stay at the marina (the coffee shop had good wifi though).

The facility is very nice with clean bath/showerrooms. They also have a couple of nice pavilions that my group used for a picnic dinner. Middle Bass Island is quite relaxed compared to South Bass Island. Dock sizes were quite generous and new looking. No fuel dock and the office was closed from Sunday 3 PM to Wednesday, but somehow the restrooms were clean. While you are there, you have to check out the Lonz Winery ruins and have dinner at the General Store. Along the way, check out the "downtown" area. Just don't blink.😉

Great marina, beautiful grounds, they clean the goose poop often, nice pavilion, laundry machines, and clean bathrooms with showers. It is close to all the bars and restaurants. One of our favorite places in the western basin.

We anchored on the west side of the island just up the coast from the State Park, but we came ashore at the state park to walk a bit. This what the water looked like when the wind was from the ene @15 kn. It was lovely.
