We went just for a day ride and to check out the campsites. Had a wonderful trail ride was upset to find out they have been sold and probably will not be a horse camp anymore. Update. Found out that the new owners will keep this a horse camp

MTR is a great place to stay for horse campers like my wife, Chris, and me. For years I used to take for granted the facilities available at MTR. As I have been recently visiting other facilities as I get more involved with the horses, I have come to realize how outstanding this facility is in the Midwest. We have appreciated the efforts expended by Kim and Jeff to maintain this facility. We along with thousands of horses and riders will carry forward our fond memories of the experiences at MTR and the care provided by the owners.

It was a great place to camp and trail ride. Appreciated everything about it. I was certainly blessed with the church services that were held every Sunday morning. Will miss it.

Pretty cool place to camp and ride. Electrical needs updated as ours was shutting off at the main outside. Trails are rally nice. Maintained well. Different trails to choose from and you are able to travel into the forest with a day pass that you can pay for on your phone with qr scanner at the trail.

Always a great time! The owners make you feel at home and welcome. The guests are generally respectful and it is easy to make friends here!

We love camping at MWTR they have everything you need from sawdust a very well stocked store with very nice things for not only yourself but for your horse.

Great horse camp. All the sites are level and most are shaded. You back right up to the barn so your horses are right there. Staff is friendly and helpful. The Outpost has plenty of horse and human supplies. There is free tea and coffee in the dining hall. The only inconvenience is, there are only a few free trails to ride then you will need to buy bridle tags for the Hooiser National Park. Overall, I would recommend the place.

We love Midwest! We've been camping there many times and each time we leave we can't wait to come back again! Kim and Jeff always make us feel welcome and appreciated. The campground is spacious and clean, the stalls are handy and safe and the store has so many beautiful things that I buy something every time I camp. It's a great place to relax and enjoy your horse in beautiful Hoosier National Forest.
