I’ve been here a few months and love so much about this campground. Spacious sites, clean maintained grounds and nice amenities. The only thing missing now is Joel and Shannon. I can’t say enough good things about how helpful they both have been.

Update Dec 18/24 Either the review, phone calls or email got a response and our issue with the power bill has been happily addressed. Again the camp staff is great but trying to deal with issues by phone or email is much too difficult so the overall rating is a 4. Dec 16/24 We needed a place to stay with our Motor Home for November while my spouse recovered from knee replacement surgery. Staff was great, washrooms clean (they are on winter water now so only about 1/3 of campground open) and propane refills were readily available. I am giving a 2 for overall rating for one big reason. The office was closed Thanksgiving and Black Friday and did not open before we left on Nov 30. I did not discover this until after the office closed on Wednesday. Not a problem I thought. We knew we owed for a month of power and three days after we left, our credit card was hit for $240.15. No invoice with start and end meter usage just a hit on our card. We have called and left two messages that have been ignored. I have emailed looking for the details on this horrendous bill. ******Issue has been resolved***************

We had the greatest time at Spacious Skies. The staff is friendly and there is you need anything. We had an unbelievable site which we could look at the leaves over the lake. The campground was so nice we have already booked for next year.

Over the past 40+years(!), I’ve camped at dozens of campgrounds, along the entire eastern coast. Spacious Skies in Henniker is BY FAR my favorite! The heavily forested land is radiant with small friendly wildlife, and everyone who visits can’t help but be happy. Such a beautiful experience, year round! 🏔️🏕️🏖️💚

be careful, they false advertise lake front camp spots for half the sites... showing a picture from the site that is lake front. then up charge you for that site, and don't give it to you. This happened to me and my friends who camped there. Otherwise it's a standard campground and good for kids. The front office has short hours and they ran out of wood for sale at a place that doesn't allow outside wood... I'm assuming they don't always run out and it was just a busy weekend, but if you are gonna up charge me for lake front and not give it, and also require I buy wood and not have it, it leads to a sub par camping experience...

Winter camped here with our Tesla. Had a decent site near the heated bathroom and showers. Quiet spot, easy in and out.

Unreasonable rates forcing alot of seasonals to leave corporate owened
Paul Bale
New owners (from NJ) notify seasonals on 9/11 that rate is going from $3100/yr to $4250/yr and that they are reducing the season from 6 months to 5. Sounds like a good deal right?? One of the reasons for the increase you ask, they are building new cabins. What good does that do a seasonal camper?? Speak to the "GM" and he has absolutely no answers or information. Unfortunately his bosses have chosen to hide behind him and subject him to the anger of the campers instead of having the integrity to face them personally. More to come...

A wonderful place for family and friends. Great live music from the band Cruizin'. Good times great fun.

Cons: Run down. Mini golf floods and then eats the balls before game is over. Pool was merky looking. Bathrooms were gross. People throw thrash everywhere. Every 15 minutes the smell of sewer would hit our site (#20)...gross. Office/store smelled bad and was not much bigger than a large bathroom. Game room only had a pool table, house furniture, a dog crate, and a kitty litter box. The road in/out was definitely not big enough for two vehicles to pass by together. Kids drive golf carts around very fast, all hours of the night without headlights. Pros: The staff was nice! They had some nice, big, shady sites. They recycle. The rates are low. Unfortunately we won't go back!
