Miles City KOA Journey

Our campground sits under a majestic stand of more than 50 mature Cottonwood Trees and is a short, scenic walk to where the Tongue River empties into the Yellowstone River.

Miles City KOA is located near the Tongue River and Yellowstone River and is close to the site of old Fort Keogh. Stay on the grounds where the Sioux, Cheyenne and Crow once lived, and where Captain William Clark and Sacajawea (1806) and General George Custer (1874 and 1876) once camped. Within walking distance of our campground, you'll find the Range Riders Museum, Historic Downtown Miles City, the Eastern Montana Fairgrounds, Riverside Park, the Natural Oasis Pool and the Denton Sports Complex. While Downtown, check out buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Olive Hotel (1899), where "Gus" drew his last breath in the miniseries Lonesome Dove, the Miles City Saddlery (1909) and The Historic Montana Bar (1908).

Pool opening has been delayed due to weather. We plan to open June 15th and remain open through Labor Day.

Max pull thru: 100 feet. Your hosts: Tim, Bob and Terry Hurd

For our first KOA experience…it was beyond expectation. Host was exceptionally friendly. Grounds were great & the bathrooms were fantastic! If we ever travel through again we will be staying.

We were bird hunting in the area and found the facility to be very nice. Friendly staff, clean bathroom, nice laundry facility and good WiFi. Didn't mind the train but found the dirt road behind us a bit strange as there were always cars, motorcycles or ATVs driving by. Didn't feel very private. We'd been happy enough though to rebook for the following week (although we had to cancel as our dog was injured so we had to go home early.)

Great location, Nice clean showers/restrooms, Gift shop/store onsite, Nice laundry facilities, mature trees throughout. Staff was professional and friendly. Sites were level and adequate sizes. Full hookup 30/50 amp service, water and sewage. Very nice private large fenced pet area with poop bags and trash can when you rent site #84. Also has a picnic table with umbrella, 2 chairs, small table and fire pit. Outdoor Swimming pool onsite

Due to a series of misfortunes, it had been a very frazzled day for my wife and me as we traveled across Southeastern Montana. We were both tired and frustrated when we got here; however, we were immediately greeted with wonderful hospitality and absolutely gorgeous accommodations. We truly had a great time and we are extremely thankful to our hosts! Thank you so much for such a great cabin and a truly nice experience. We will definitely be staying here whenever we can, and look forward to our returns.

Stayed here with our extended family for our annual summer trip and it was simply lovely. We enjoyed great camp hosts, fantastic owners (and everyone's lovely dogs!) and good tent neighbors! Everything is kept clean. The camp store, stocked with trinkets local to Montana, plus any last minute things forgotten at home, was a delightful surprise! Kids loved the pool and journeying down the road to collect agates and other fun rocks. Miles City KOA sets the bar for the camping experience our family enjoys!
