Military Park Blue Angel Naval Rec Area (Corry Station)
Overview
Blue Angel Naval Recreation Area offers a serene waterfront retreat for military members and their families on the shores of Perdido Bay. Managed by MWR, this destination serves as a premier military-only RV park in the Florida Panhandle. The atmosphere is distinctively laid-back, focusing on outdoor recreation and natural beauty rather than the bustle of a traditional military installation. It provides a spacious environment where visitors can enjoy the Gulf Coast's mild climate while remaining close to essential military services and facilities.
Location & Surroundings
Tucked away on the western edge of Pensacola, the park sits along the tranquil waters of Perdido Bay. The surrounding landscape is characterized by tall pines, coastal wetlands, and sweeping views of the bay. Its location on Bronson Field allows for a sense of seclusion, away from the traffic of downtown, yet it remains conveniently located near Corry Station and NAS Pensacola. Travelers will find the location ideal for watching sunsets over the water or enjoying a quiet morning walk along the shoreline.
Amenities & Park Features
The facility caters to various camping styles with its full-hookup RV sites, offering both 30 and 50-amp service to accommodate large rigs. For those seeking more comfort, the park features rental cabins, while traditionalists can utilize the primitive tent areas. Recreation is the centerpiece here, with three disc golf courses that are highly regarded in the region. Guests also have access to a private marina with boat rentals, a swimming area, laundry facilities, and multiple bathhouses. The inclusion of a dog park makes it a welcoming spot for those traveling with pets.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Beyond the park boundaries, the Pensacola area is rich with history and adventure. A short drive leads to the National Naval Aviation Museum, one of the most visited museums in Florida. Depending on the training schedule, visitors might even catch the Blue Angels practicing overhead. The white quartz sands of Perdido Key and Johnson Beach offer world-class swimming and sunbathing opportunities. Additionally, the historic charm of downtown Pensacola provides a variety of dining and shopping options for those looking to explore local Florida culture.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is an exceptional choice for military retirees and active-duty families seeking an affordable, high-quality coastal getaway. It is particularly well-suited for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy water sports like kayaking and sailing, as well as those who appreciate a quiet, secure environment. A very nice campground with 2 RV campgrounds, cabins, tent sites, single sides, fishing pier, laundry facilities mwr rentals. Beautiful sunsets, about 25 minutes from Perdito Beach and Flora-Bama area and 25-35 minutes to downtown Pensacola and Pensacola Beach. We will definitely stay here again. Everyone has been super nice from reservations to check in, and the camp hosts in the RV campground we were in was very helpful and nice.

We have stayed here twice now and just love it. Big spacious sites and full hook-ups make for a great camping experience. Meeting other vets and military members make it a really fun time, had the grandkids with us for the fall festival and they had a blast. Water views are spectacular!!
