Awesome RV park with a hotel and cabins. Quiet and relaxing, clean and spacious. RV spots are different sizes, no sewer connection. Good Verizon and T mobile services. Big playground and a lot of walking trails.

Not what it used to be. Stayed in one of the A-Frames. The A-Frames are in need of repair. I used to go many times over the last 34 years but haven't been for at least 5 years. Kitchen utensils and pots and pans are piecemealed and insufficient for cooking. Microwave needed to be replaced. Our refrigerator didn't keep our food cold. Reported to staff and they stored it until the next day when the fridge could be repaired. At $245 a night, I expected more. As usual you have to empty your own trash and wash anything used in kitchen. This is not a problem but the folks who cleaned the cabin after the last folks left an envelope for a tip. I didn't understand that as we never saw any cleaning staff our entire 4 day stay.

Overall a great location for a frugal getaway, in comparison to the local lodging available. We stayed in the hotel room which had ample space but is in desperate need of update/renovation. No AC but we came in the fall so it wasn't a big deal. The fan in our room was terribly off balance so we only ran it at the lowest setting. The room has a good sized refrigerator, microwave, and TV. The king bed was okay in terms of comfort but it also doesn't come with a comforter, but a blanket that isn't very comfortable. Finally, the room was clean but we did find some build up of dust in certain areas. The property does have a playground and the cabins look nice. The coffee shop has some snacks and great coffee. Good choice of rental equipment at an affordable rate for any season! Location is great with a quick drive to Snowbowl, NAU, or downtown Flagstaff.

We got invited for closed friends whose husband is a veteran for RV camping. Place is so beautiful. There is an electricity to hook and water and sewer. Play ground for kids, I love forest and pines. It's perfect place if you want to get away from the heat.

Fort Tuthill Luke AFB Recreation Base is a very small military base within minutes of Flagstaff. Great place for active duty and retirees to stay while visiting central Arizona. Grand Canyon is 90 miles away. Winslow to the East is cute - if your a Jackson Brown Eagles fan. Petrified Forest is a short drive down the road. Staying in a cabin nestled in the pines really hard to beat.

Nice to wake up to brisk, fresh clean, natural pine smelling air. It was cold here in December, so the water spigots we're shut off. I didn't need it since I had a full fresh water tank in my rig. Left with only electric, but no problem. This is a great hidden gem of a military recreation annex and campground. I woke up and went looking for some sasquatches, but was unsuccessful. My dog must have sensed their presence as she didn't want.to leave her bed the rest of the day, which was out of the norm. Catch you next time, Mr Foot.

Had a pretty good time here in an A frame cabin. It was well furnished and comfortable. The only down side is the outside path lights shine through the window at night, even with the curtains drawn. If you need it close to pitch black to sleep, this might be a big minus for you.

Fort Tuthill is a hidden getaway from the craziness of daily life. This secluded resort is dedicated to providing military ID card holders a place to rest and relax. The prices are extremely fair, especially if you are willing to come up during the week. My favorite place on the property is the A-frame cabins that are absolutely stunning. The cabins are simple and work as a cheaper alternative. If you want a unique stay, check out the yurts. They have a wood stove heater and stay quite warm. The only downfall is they do not have AC in the summer. The family A-frame is spectacular, but there is only one so plan way ahead. Overall, Fort Tuthill is a beautiful place and the staff is really friendly. I found the prices extremely fair and was impressed to find out you can rent quality ski/snowboard gear here to bring to snow bowl. They take care of their equipment and wax them after every use. They also have plenty of tent space for those looking for a cheap camping spot. The best part is Fort Tuthill is only a few miles from town.
