The Military Park Grand Forks FamCamp serves as a dedicated retreat for military members, retirees, and their families. Located within the secure perimeter of Grand Forks Air Force Base, this seasonal park offers a structured and welcoming environment. It provides a peaceful respite during the warmer months of the year.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in the northeastern corner of the state, the park is defined by the wide-open landscapes characteristic of the Red River Valley. While the setting is tranquil and expansive, it remains conveniently close to the city of Grand Forks. Travelers will appreciate the ease of navigating the base, where the flat terrain and wide roads make for easy setup and accessibility for even the largest big-rig motorhomes or fifth-wheels maneuvering through the camp area.

Guests can expect a range of essential services designed for a comfortable stay. The park features level sites with the following highlights:

  • Full hookup options including 30 and 50 amp service, water, and sewer.

For the price, its good. The RV spots are ok. Make sure you have extra sewer hoses. The bathhouse was not being cleaned well, however, spots are full hook-ups. Exceptional large dog park on opposite side of park. Easy access to commissary, BX, and gas station. If you need a Walmart, its about 25 minutes away. There is no camp host and you can pay at outdoor recreation or call in advance and make payment.

Stayed twice on our trip to and from Alaska. Neat and clean. While not up to top public RV parks, it great for a night or 2. Inexpensive, hot water, no charge showers, coin laundry, quiet. We will stop at the exchange and chapel for Sunday Mass and resume our journey. We would use these facilities again.

Small fam camp. It was originally a trailer park so the electric, sewer and water are at the back of the sites. Small laundry and shower rooms. Sites are level. The B-1 bombers are stationed here temporarily and you can see them take off from the fam camp.

We really enjoyed this FamCamp. It was very quiet with occasional B1s taking off....loved it. The utilities were installed on the wrong side of the site so be prepared to run your sewer hose under the back of you RV to connect to the dump connection. We stopped by outdoor rec to pay for our stay, easy peesy...and really inexpensive compared to other FamCamps. The commissary and BX were close and convenient.

Nice area, definitely a good value. Sites are oddly arranged, hookups are on the wrong side at many of them. Pads are grass. We arrived after dark and it was really difficult to see where the sites actually were. There are showers and a coin operated laundry facility with 1 washer and 2 dryers. Very quiet area with great paved running trails. Good info, another occupant informed us that they shutoff the water starting 1 Oct.
