Denise at MWR was very helpful and pleasant, offering ways to get around DC and the trains to get you there. The FamCamp itself has concrete pads and FHU, but the restrooms need some TLC.

I had to see for my own experience why the rating on this fam camp is so bad!! Was on base called fam camp over the phone. A woman answered the phone and sounded so bothered and rude. Instead of saying "how may I help you" she said "what do you need?" With such a tone of a self entitlement. Asked me what kind of camper I had i said I had a truck camper that sits on my truck bed then cuts me off and said "oh that's not a recreational vehicle. I told her that I have been staying at various airforce fam camps all over the nation and this is the first time im being told this. I just stayed at JB charleston 3 weeks ago matter fact. It was obvious that this woman has an attitude problem. She even had the audacity to ask me what my camper has inside lol. Whoever this woman is, you're the reason why mwr has such a horrible reputation and I hope you lose your job in this govt shut down. You have no place to serve veterans in this country!!!

WiFi was terrible/useless. They don’t keep the grass cut. They do a half way job. The camp host was not ever available & was told they are not that friendly. They are not there, when you need them. No one around to ask questions. All three washing machines were broken. No one was very friendly. Not kept very clean. Men’s showers were filthy. Someone peed all over the floor. No one to tell to clean it up. Just needs some updating & clean up. Also, aloof road noise. Very loud traffic. Very bad noise. Hope they improve.

This place is low awful, grass not cut, standing water all around the pad, and the pot holes are everywhere. Not up to military standards!

I like the concrete pad... thats the highlight of this place. Restrooms are gross and outdated. Laundry room is dirty, gross and outdated. Getting to try and check in is ridiculous. For $45 a night I expected better.
