Flat, hard pads. Nice.

We stayed Ellyson RV Park for 9 days. The RV park was clean, had nice leveled concrete pads, picnic table and each site had its own outside trash bins that were picked up daily. The dog park, by far, is the best dog park of any famcamp, or RV park we have ever been to. There is a driving range right next to the dog park that was quite nice as well. All sites are FHU w/ 15/30/50amp. If you have a big rig, make sure to unhook at your given site and then head to the MWR to complete your check in. Having a McDonalds on base and right around the corner was nice too. We did not use their laundry room or restrooms. The famcamp is across the street from a barracks/dorm building. So occasionally or rarely, you'll hear a Sailor revving up their engine or a bit of loud music, but nothing that can be heard from inside the rig. Overall extremely peaceful. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stay here.

A very warm low 80s for end of October! A good campground to overnight or for a couple of days at $28/night. We had FHU on a concrete pad. Everything is gravel or pea gravel and pull throughs. We had CG WiFi, good Verizon, and a bunch of OTA TV channels. During working hours, use the truck gate when you turn off CA 198 at the main gate. Every site has its own garbage can. My only complaint has to do with the check in process. I made the reservation using the toll free number, and the agent couldn't tell me my site number. We tried calling an hour before our arrival, but all we got was the answering machine. So we pulled into the park figuring the MWR folks would tell us at the office. However, there is no office at the campground, and they currently don't have a host. There was no map or directions to tell us where the office is, and no bulletin board or announcement posted as to our site number. We called the MWR number on the welcome sign again, and you guessed it, got the answering machine. Luckily, another camper told us where the MWR office was. We dropped the Jeep and went to the office, and there are 3 ladies there. You think one would be able to answer the phone! I'd say it was a one off situation except the exact same thing happened the next day, except this time I was the guy telling the arrival where to go. Dog park, golf driving range adjacent to campground. McDonald's a short walk away, but drive through only.

Basic rv park. No cable or over the air channels. Very noisy being near dorms and loud vehicles of people who live there. Not much to see nearby and very windy while I was there.
