RV Park was quiet except for the jets. Water was not flowing like we expected and was shut off for most of one day due to a main break on base. Staff was amazing especially the manager and Diana!

The sites are large with Full Hookups. The clubhouse has a large gathering area with television, pool table, and ping pong. There is an outdoor fireplace and covered area where movies and social events are held. They hold many social events. This is a great resort for Military and Veterans.

First, it's an RV Park, not a hotel. You make reservations online or over the phone, and I suggest doing that three+ months ahead. The park is fairly large, and there are a number of spots with good water views. It is well maintained, being a military park. It's NOT on base, so there's no id to flash to get in. The people staying here are all very nice and friendly. We went to the gorgeous clubhouse to do laundry, and there was a potluck dinner taking place. Even though no one knew us, we were invited several times to 'eat up, there's plenty of food'. A number of couples were playing cards at several tables. Shower/bathroom facilities were in the same building. They were more than adequate for our needs. When we were there, it was actually snowing outside. With that in mind, it took several minutes for the shower water to get warm. I was almost ready to call it quits when the cold was replaced by warm, then it went to too hot. I'll take hot over cold every time! It was a great stay (except for the unreasonable cold temps)... 👍👍

We camped there for a couple of months in Fefruary 2024. We are booked again for two months starting in Feb 2025. Great location and staff. Mike, Diana and Kim very helpful. Nice rec room. And full hook up worked fine. Great shopping on base and in the local area. Really enjoyed the beaches, and restaurants in old Panama city, and Port St Joe. Mexico Beach building back a nice Beach front restaurant after hurricane Michael. Happy Camping!

Nice level pads. Trees to separate most sites. Very quiet park (not including the jets - the sound of freedom). Very accommodating staff as we made a last minute reservation.

Nice park. Sites towards the bayou are more desirable. Not any road noise

CUSTOMER SERVICE: IGNORE the request of bringing your own pillows! We had to bring FOUR pillows. Took a lot of room in the car. (They provide pillows!). We ended up forgetting them at the cabin. Sadly, even though I kindly requested 4 times or more over the phone for them to ship the "My Pillow" pillows back to me (about 35 USD per piece) and I obviously offered to pay for shipping, NONE of the workers were willing to help. Too much work to ship my pillows back I guess. GENERAL: The beach is about 30 minutes away. The surrounding area is not pretty. Lots of traffic. Public beach access is really far away. I didn't see any public restroom available. The cabins & the building are pretty decent, but the location isn't great. I won't recommend this place. I don't foresee coming back.

Nice size sites, trees could use some trimming to accommodate bigger rigs. Facilities are clean and showers are nice and hot with great pressure. Most of the staff are welcoming and helpful. Only negative was a really bad experience with the lady who cleans the laundry room and, maybe, bathrooms. Since this is on base, masks are enforced in-doors; get it, that's something you accept if you want to stay on Federal property. As my son and I walked into the bathroom, I was masked but my medically exempt son was not. The cleaning lady barked at us that he needed to go get a mask; I had him cover his face, with his shirt, for the 15'-20' from the exterior door to the shower. When I returned to the camper my wife informed me of her similar negative experience. When my wife walked in, masked, the woman followed her to the shower stall and barked at her for taking her mask off while preparing to shower. Reminding us about masks is totally acceptable but it is not ok to be barked at by any staff.

I am sure this is a decent RV park, but we made a lap through and decided not to stay here. It seems run down and unkept. There are long term residents that have ragtag in-ground gardens and home gyms behind their rigs - seems like management doesn't care about appearance except right at the entrance. The girl working the front office acted as though our presence was a bother. Note: this famcamp is not on base.

Great value, they are doing a lot of updates but could still use an update in the clubhouse bath/showers. The office folks are very helpful if you need anything.
