Great location and people and fish house been coming here for eight or nine years? BUT The price keeps going up and the service keeps going down. There is so much potential here. No more charter boats; no more bar, 1/2 a restaurant, no more communal barbecue grill, no more deep sink with hot water for the people staying in the yurts, The blue boys for sewage not shared with the campers, excessive restrictions on parking/unloading fish at the fish house. There is a weight room/building down at the marina, not shared with guest. Trailer sites not level, snowmobiles and bicycles set out in the rain when they have two huge machine sheds and a five stall garage, should have a hook inside each bathroom, stall, and outside each shower. No more playground for the kids tore down not repaired, no electricity for yurts, no more freezers in the hotel rooms, lack of use for the great hall, what is the maintenance schedule for the log cabin hall? No more camp hosts we used to have two. I tried to volunteer and failed. Does Seward Military Resort want to do more for the Veterans or less so much potential? I love this place that is why I care enough to make these suggestions

We stayed one night in a townhouse at the Seward Military Resort after our Alaska cruise. The free shuttle (every 30 mins) from the cruise terminal was very convenient—it also connects to major stops in town. We used it to get to Safeway and the Sea Life Center without any hassle. The location is excellent, and the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. They really made us feel at home. That said, the property is a little dated for the price point. At $330 per night, it feels on the high end. Small details could be improved—there was no paper towel in the kitchen, and the sink was pretty clogged. Overall, though, we really appreciated the hospitality and convenience. With a few updates, this could be an outstanding place to stay.

First time to Alaska and this was the perfect place to stay for personnel with a Military affiliation. Great views, great staff, and nice accommodations. We stayed in a townhouse and it accommodated four adults perfectly. Will definitely stay here the next time we come to Alaska. Use the free shuttle and you can get to downtown Seward with ease.

I recently stayed at the Seward Military Resort in a Townhouse for a night. It was really a nice place that made everything one could want available. There is a fish house for cleaning your catch, fish shipping service, laundromat and more including bike rentals! I would definitely stay here again if staying in Seward. The only downsides were that it is a bit far to downtown Seward if walking or biking, but quite close if you have a vehicle. I do wish the room was equipped with paper towels. The staff at the resort were wonderful and helped us book an amazing tour with a local company that even included a veterans discount. Thanks again!

spent one night at Resort and all the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Staff was really friendly and helpful, and supply has everything you need for fishing and camping. Booked our Glacier tour through them and fishing tour and loved both. The breakfast was very good and felt bad for the lady that was the only one working that day.

Stayed in the RV park part of the resort. Everything was just absolutely. Great staff. Only thing that is needed is better Sewage transfer parts. Plan on going back again

Seward Military Resort is a great respite for our active, guard, reserve and retirees to experience the best of what Alaska has to offer. The new renovations look fantastic! Really appreciate the spirited staff, clean facilities and MWR opportunities throughout.

We stayed in one of the Yurts and it was nice. The cots were comfortable and it was clean and had a table and chairs provided inside. There was no place to fill water ie... a 3-5 gallon water container. The staff was not very helpful when it came to questions about the water. Everything else was very well kept and the bathrooms were the nicest and cleanest camp bathrooms I've ever seen!!

We enjoyed I stayed here at the RV section of the resort . The front staff were very friendly . The bathhouses were awesome . Next time we'll make sure to bring bikes . With a short distance to the town and fishing areas .It's a great time Great experience two thumbs up.

Current year: The staff is still friendly and helpful. The facility is great as compared to other military type rec camps. I used the RV campground. I also stored my boat on site. The site is not within walking distance of Seward. That said, there is a free shuttle. Previous year: The staff is friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that their kitchen wasn't open but understandable. That said, my visit was clouded because it rained the entire visit. My fishing charter, not a Rec Camp charter, was canceled because of the weather. The camp staff worked with me to help my adjust my stay.

Television and internet is terrible . Blurry old Tv’s and internet blinks off every few minutes . Rooms are way to small and carpet was very worn . Beds creaked and crunched , needs replaced . You get what you pay for . No restaurant and you have to go find help if you need it .

It's nice. Good room...TV cable, wifi, microwave, mini fridge, and small safe in the closet if you need it. Be careful though, if you have someone with photosensitive epilepsy in your group. There are two smoke detectors that are very flashy when the lights are off.

I am retired army and traveling with my son who is active duty so he called to make the reservation. He confirmed we could get a tent site but sleep in our vehicle, we were fine with paying for an RV site but told we couldn't do that with a car. When we arrived we saw you can't actually park at the tent site but in a parking spot nearby so my son wanted to confirm it was fine if we slept in our vehicle, not trying to get a refund. Two staff members did it was fine but one woman got upset and said that was absolutely not allowed. They told us they had to cancel our reservation but because it was less than the required time we probably wouldn't get a refund. At that point it was too late to get any other tent site in town, certainly not with a shower that we wanted. So of you plan on sleeping in your car you must have a tent on the ground at least, because they don't do bedcheck to verify where you are actually sleeping. And you can park at an RV site with your car but must use the hookups because trucks with camper shells and vehicles pulling campers are allowed, so what's the difference. You'd think they'd be happy to get the same payment as an RV but save on utility costs. Or payment for a tent site but let us park in front and double book the tent site for sometime actually wanting to put a tent down. Considering we verified ahead of time and they cancelled us, refusing a refund is completely unacceptable. An ICE complaint is my next step.

Very nice place! The motel style rooms are spacious and comfortable. 4 stars only because the rooms share a door and are a bit thin so you can hear neighbors on occasion and the soaps are from a dispenser and not typical hotel style small bottles. Overall fantastic value and even better staff!!
