The RV park is the most crowded I have experienced so far in Alaska. For $55 a night I thought we would at least have room to extend our shade awning all the way without hitting the camper next to us. There was a shared table between us and the camper next to us (who pulled in instead of back in so our “yard” was now shared instead of if the resort enforced proper parking we would have our own yard space) and it was 3 feet from our camper, but used by the neighbors- we had to squeeze by to get to our own camper door. Very uncomfortable and crowded. On base famCamp is $30/night and 100x the space. I just thought for nearly double the price we would have a better set up. The report has amenities if you need and is across from a park and only a few miles to downtown but I would not camp here again unless the prices reflected the true parking lot style camping that it is. We got breakfast burritos from the resort, they have several rude signs up in all caps telling you “not to ask how long it will take, don’t even joke and ask!” And then we recieved burritos with the bacon not fully cooked and the eggs slimy and not fully cooked. Ugg. Just expected a bit better so wanted others to be prepared.

We stayed at Seward Military Resort for a week of fishing along the Kenai Peninsula. While fishing was not as great as we wanted, we did catch Halibut, SockEye Salmon, a variety of Rockfish, and a Dolly Varden, which we couldn't keep. We did enjoy our stay despite the accommodations not being what we have been accostomed to in every other Military Vacation Facilities. Our "quarters" was a 2-story townhouse with a Full bed in a downstairs bedroom, a fold out "couch" is in the living room. A kitchenette, no oven, and 1 bathroom complete the downstairs. Upstairs is a bedroom with 2 twin beds. There were 5 of us and we were tripping over each other the entire time. There was no dresser for clothes in the bedroom. Supplies were limited: despite a sign directing guests to"please clean the dishes", there was no dish soap, no paper towels, no sponge or dish cloth. I the bathroom there is only a Shampoo dispenser. No Conditioner, body wash, or hand soap. To get new towels after a couple of days, we had to take the towels to the office, count them as we turned them in, in order to receive new ones. The Internet never had more than 2 bars and most of the time 0 bars. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We have stayed at Navy Lodges, USCG Base vacation homes, Marine Corps Campgrounds, and Gateway Hotels on Bases. This is not up to their standards. I will look for an ABB next time we go to Seward.

We utilized Seward Military Resort to book a tour during our stay in Seward. The staff were super helpful, polite, and professional. Appreciate them partnering with local companies to offer discounts to military connected families - makes family vacations a little more affordable.

The winter rates are amazing. We have a quilt retreat here and the space is perfect to hold up to 25 quilters. The dining area is spacious and its fun to share it with other guests. The complimentary coffee in the lobby and access to hotwater and a water bottle refill are all pluses. The gift shop has nice variety and the sales I've hit have been amazing. The staff are gracious, helpful and accommodating, especially Connie, but all of them really.

We've stayed in both the RV park and the yurts and enjoyed both experiences. You're conveniently located close to Seward and the grocery store. The facilities are kept so clean. Even when we visited on the 4th of July and it was busy, everything was kept tidy and didn't feel crowded.

We always feel safe and well provided for at the resort. So many activities provided by the resort with the most knowledgeable staff. Always greeted with friendly faces and a feeling of home!

We stayed in a yurt and loved it. The restroom and shower were always clean. Our booked deep sea fishing was epic. Will go again.

Great place to stay when out with the family! Far enough away to stay out of the bustle, close enough to get your steps in for a walk if you are so inclined. The front desk was very patient with the many questions I had (it was our first time here) and they were great at keeping us informed of events going on while in town. Will definitely be coming back and using the military resort for all of our Seward stays!

We had a wonderful weekend at the resort! We spent our time just enjoying the town and the resort off-season in October. No where else are you going to find a motel room at those prices in Alaska! The staff at the desk were excellent friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. However, it would have been nice to know about the winter special when I was just booking the two rooms instead of finding out about it when we got down there. It is a great deal! The room was very nice and clean. The one improvement they could make would be to have a luggage rack in the rooms. That would have been helpful so we had a place for our suitcase. It looks like they do have rooms that have doors between them, so if you are a family who wants to have rooms next to each other, they have that option, if available. Regarding the gift shop, the had some really cute sweatshirts, Christmas ornaments, and stickers. It would be great if they had more of a selection for food and drinks to buy when you want a snack. Microwave popcorn, hot chocolate packets, tea, pop tarts, etc. would be a nice addition, especially since they only have coffee in the rooms. It is nice that they have a separate fish cleaning building so you don’t have to clean your fish in your rooms. It was cool to find out that in the Summertime they offer a shuttle to the downtown area daily. The grounds of the area were kept up very nicely. Everything was clean and the landscaping looked great. I would recommend though that they add a light going down the stairs from the main desk area to the 300 motel rooms. If is very hard to see that set of 3 stairs at night. Parking is ample if you bring your vehicles. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to everyone eligible.

Great location and people and fish house been coming here for eight or nine years? BUT The price keeps going up and the service keeps going down. There is so much potential here. No more charter boats; no more bar, 1/2 a restaurant, no more communal barbecue grill, no more deep sink with hot water for the people staying in the yurts, The blue boys for sewage not shared with the campers, excessive restrictions on parking/unloading fish at the fish house. There is a weight room/building down at the marina, not shared with guest. Trailer sites not level, snowmobiles and bicycles set out in the rain when they have two huge machine sheds and a five stall garage, should have a hook inside each bathroom, stall, and outside each shower. No more playground for the kids tore down not repaired, no electricity for yurts, no more freezers in the hotel rooms, lack of use for the great hall, what is the maintenance schedule for the log cabin hall? No more camp hosts we used to have two. I tried to volunteer and failed. Does Seward Military Resort want to do more for the Veterans or less so much potential? I love this place that is why I care enough to make these suggestions

We stayed one night in a townhouse at the Seward Military Resort after our Alaska cruise. The free shuttle (every 30 mins) from the cruise terminal was very convenient—it also connects to major stops in town. We used it to get to Safeway and the Sea Life Center without any hassle. The location is excellent, and the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. They really made us feel at home. That said, the property is a little dated for the price point. At $330 per night, it feels on the high end. Small details could be improved—there was no paper towel in the kitchen, and the sink was pretty clogged. Overall, though, we really appreciated the hospitality and convenience. With a few updates, this could be an outstanding place to stay.

First time to Alaska and this was the perfect place to stay for personnel with a Military affiliation. Great views, great staff, and nice accommodations. We stayed in a townhouse and it accommodated four adults perfectly. Will definitely stay here the next time we come to Alaska. Use the free shuttle and you can get to downtown Seward with ease.

I recently stayed at the Seward Military Resort in a Townhouse for a night. It was really a nice place that made everything one could want available. There is a fish house for cleaning your catch, fish shipping service, laundromat and more including bike rentals! I would definitely stay here again if staying in Seward. The only downsides were that it is a bit far to downtown Seward if walking or biking, but quite close if you have a vehicle. I do wish the room was equipped with paper towels. The staff at the resort were wonderful and helped us book an amazing tour with a local company that even included a veterans discount. Thanks again!

spent one night at Resort and all the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Staff was really friendly and helpful, and supply has everything you need for fishing and camping. Booked our Glacier tour through them and fishing tour and loved both. The breakfast was very good and felt bad for the lady that was the only one working that day.
