Stayed on the lake for Labor Day with, my wife one of my sons, my grandchildren two of them and my brother. we enjoyed ourselves... the weather was beautiful . 😎 I recommend them to All veterans to take advantage for their summertime fun fishing and family outings.

This place can be a lot of fun for kids and all you have to do is not be bothered by the bugs or the shotty construction work. In the summer before you even enter the Villa, you are greeted with millions of mayflies littering the whole entry way to your domicile. Be careful where you walk as you come in as you could step on one of the 1,000 fire ant hills scattered around the area. We were fortunate enough to find that out after my 3 year old daughter got bitten up. Once inside, you can get a real sense for they type of people who stayed there before you. They were, as you will be, responsible for all of the cleaning once the vacation comes to an end. You may be lucky enough to see a pile of ants carrying away the precious tenants last meal. Decorative chandeliers of cobwebs, mayflies and gnats twinkle in the kitchen as you trip over uneven LVP flooring that has bowed in the extreme humidity. You can store your food in a fridge that seems clean but smells like spoiled yogurt and feet. As you finish your day and go to take a rest, you can be sure that the 1980s industrial AC unit will kick on with the volume of a jet plane to remind you that you aren't at home. And when you wake up nice and sweaty thanks to the humidity, you can say hello to your cockroach friends that scatter when the light turns on.

Great place for family. We stayed in the campground. Lots of space and shade but Water and Electric only. Only water front has concrete pads. When it rains most sites have standing water and leaky faucets. Road is crushed millet chunks, not sure how it ended up on top of my slideouts - guess it was from the guy scraping everyday with a tractor. Old but clean Bathhouse, like a sauna, carry a clip on fan so u don't have a heat stroke. Bugs and mosquitos state bird! Saw 3 small alligators near the swimming area when the crowds left. be careful with pets and kids swimming. Lots of permanent semi folks, pulling there honey wagon to the dump. Kids speeding on golf carts, so pretty relaxed. Leaving, I couldn't get to the right side of the dump station due to low lying trees. Still had to dodge some tree limbs. Had to make a circle and come in the other direction. Mentioned it to the offc and they said they would contact the contractors, not concerned. Everyone was friendly and nice. Wish they would do some updates, 70 yrs overdue!

Everything you would expect from military lodging. My room smelled like an American Legion Bar where someone chain smoked in it for 20-30 years and then painted over it. Decent bathroom. I'm sure many a person was conceived on the 30 year old blankets that I slept on. Though it provided a great view, when I wasn't being assaulted by May Flies.

We had a great family reunion here. The view is amazing. Perfect setting for family gatherings. We rented 8 villas and were able to have all the kids play within that area. The rooms were clean. It would have been nice to have one more toilet for a three bedroom place but we made it work. Loved it and can't wait to come back.
