Location & Surroundings

The park is nestled deep within the vast Mojave Desert, surrounded by the rugged beauty of Southern California’s arid landscape. Guests will find themselves immersed in wide-open spaces characterized by unique rock formations and distant mountain ranges. For those interested in local culture, the Tortoise Rock Casino and the historic murals of Twentynine Palms are just a short drive away. Guests also have the added benefit of utilizing on-base resources such as the commissary, fitness center, and exchange, which provide a level of convenience not found at public parks.

For a military base out in the middle of nowhere 🫣27 miles from the nearest Walmart. The rate they are asking is ridiculous plus YOU have to maintain your campsite free of weeds etc. I'm not a landscaper! I'm an RV'r and besides if this place had more to offer in the way of amenities i wouldn't mind paying (just the rent alone) but the site up keep too!?? Forgetaboutit! Dont stay here! Move on down the road to anywhere but here! There are private campgrounds close to the National Park area. Keep movin'!!

This is a great place to stay when visiting the area. Level sites with full hook ups. Has pull through and back in sites. Quite park with trash pick up at site. Covered parking for tow vehicle.

The spaces are plenty big, and each one has a small storayshed and carpoo. This is the ONLY RV park we've been to with both. The lots are varying degrees of level, but nothing crazy. It's well laid out, having perhaps 80+ spaces. The electric, water and sewer lines are well placed and worked perfectly. They prefer you not leave chairs, bikes, etc out- hence, the storage shed. I'm ok with that... They have large trash cans at every site for ease of trash dispy- I'm fine with that too. The ONLY reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is NO BATHROOM/SHOWER/LAUNDRY facilities. There IS a car wash, gas station and Laundromat about a half mile away. Still, it was clean and everything worked- the most impoyparts for me. Being on a military post, less worries about theft, etc.

No laundry, restrooms or showers. No onsite office. Call for space A and if available they will send you a DocuSign form to fill out. Lady who answers phone is very helpful. Each site is spacious. Gravel and dusty. Full hookups. Each site has garbage & recycle can. Storage shed and mail available for long term stays. From what I read the site is mostly active duty. Area can be noisy since it’s near highway. Amenities very close by (not walking distance though). Awesome BX, commissary, car wash & shoppette. Very close to Joshua Tree Natural Park. If we visit Joshua Tree again I would certainly try to get in. We took our showers at the base gym since we just had a camper van. Fast food available on base near park. They have diesel at gas station.
