We didn’t end up staying here, but based on some of the reviews, that might have been for the best. I don’t think we could deal with the levels of supervision. You seem to be under here and we found a place that is less than half the price and it’s much nicer to be honest. I remember this place being a lot of fun when I was a kid, but it seems like the grass has become the main focus now. We tried to book for a few upcoming months before heading to Florida, but were told the campground was full — even though the owner had just mentioned how slow things have been. He offered to show us around and we spent about twenty minutes driving at a turtle’s pace while he talked mostly about the grass, how he thinks kids should play, and how much he loves the animals. We could hardly get a word in. If we were gonna be told that “ The park is full” We could’ve been spared the 20 minute tour of your lawn. Because let’s be real if I wanna see a nice lawn, I’m gonna go to a golf course, and that won’t require me to listen to someone’s life story. From what we saw, at least half the sites were empty, so I’m not sure what the real reason was for turning us away. Maybe he didn’t like my husband’s Native hairstyle, tattoos, or the fact that we have a dog — but it definitely didn’t seem to be because the park was full. Feel free to clarify what you really mean when you say that the park is full?

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Milton Heights Campground. My family and I applied for a seasonal site after being shown around by their staff. The park was nearly empty, and we were told everything looked great. We were very transparent about our situation — we only had a week before our current site at another campground (Emerald Lake) was closing for the season. We’ve been long-time campers and are well-known and loved in our camping community. We also have a well-behaved dog, which we were assured would not be an issue. Everything seemed positive and straightforward. Then, just days before we were supposed to move in, we received an email saying they were suddenly “fully booked” and had no room for us at all. This left us completely stranded without anywhere to park our RV for the winter months. This kind of unprofessional handling — taking our application, assuring us everything was fine, and then backing out at the last minute — is unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone considering Milton Heights Campground to be careful before trusting their word or planning your move based on what they say.

Had a great time. They run a tight ship. Grounds were always clean and well kept. Well staffed, never had an issue getting a hold of people when needed. Staff always willing to help out, even when parking and setting up things with the trailer. Really close to anything you need being in Milton. Right next to Kelso park for trails and water activities. Would stay there again.

If you’re looking for a dependable, comfortable, and well-run campground in the Milton area, Milton Heights Campground is a gem. It has been our go-to summer campground for the last few years, and it never disappoints. Initially for weekends when we were still working but more recently for the summer months now we are retired. The grounds are clean, very secure and well-maintained—perfect for RVs of all sizes. Staff are friendly and helpful. There are rules, but if you respect your neighbours and the environment, then you will have no problems. The location is ideal—close to Milton town for essentials but you still get a feeling of being in the countryside. We especially appreciate the reliable hookups, and the green surroundings with tall mature trees.

I’ve had the pleasure of spending plenty of time at Andy’s campground in Milton, and it’s clear from the moment you arrive that it’s run with care and professionalism. The front staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the office is quick to help with any questions or arrangements. It creates an inviting atmosphere that makes every visit a positive experience. What really stands out is Andy’s dedication to keeping the campground in excellent condition. The grounds are always clean, the facilities are well-maintained, and it’s obvious he takes pride in running a place where guests feel comfortable and looked after. He sets high standards for both his team and the campers, which is why the environment is always respectful and enjoyable. As someone who provides hauling and towing services in and around the campground, I truly appreciate Andy’s commitment to doing things right. His attention to detail and hands-on approach make it easy to recommend his campground to anyone looking for a well-managed, reliable place to stay. Milton is lucky to have a campground owner who combines professionalism with genuine care for both his business and the people who use it.
