Welcome to the Milton KOA!

Tucked into the rolling hills of southern Wisconsin, this family-friendly campground offers grassy, level sites surrounded by blooming gardens and expansive grounds.  You'll appreciate the modern facilities that include an 8,000 square-foot clubhouse with a game room, TVs, a meeting room and more! Wooded trails are perfect for a relaxing walk. You're close to both city and country pleasures here. Enjoy the peaceful scenery as you drive past dairy farms and green pastures on your way to one of the area's many golf courses. Boaters can cruise the waters of 10,000-acre Lake Koshkonong or check out the chain of four lakes near Madison. The capital city and University of Wisconsin campus (45 minutes north) offer cultural activities, sporting events and even more entertainment. Pool: April 30 - October 23. Max pull thru: 100 feet. Great place to go. Great community, friendly staff. Clean restrooms and showers. Lots to do. Loved the Halloween festivities. Can't wait to go back.

KOA is not my typical preference for camping. I enjoy the quiet state park scene. Needless to say, I made reservations to join friends to camp for the weekend. I then tested positive for covid 4 days before the trip ugh. I figured being a KOA that they were not going to budge on their 7 day cancellations policy. I gave it a try and called, gave my story and asked if I could talk with the manager to explain my story or even talk about another solution if it couldn't be a full refund. I was told they would not be in until the next day. Next day called, they took my phone number so she could call me back and nothing. They had cancelled my reservation, which I was then trying to find someone else to take my reservation so that I would not be out my $83 deposit. I have camped all of my life and do not have issues camping in inclement weather or anything like that. The person on the phone could clearly tell I was sick and even acknowledged the fact that I did not sound good. I would have gladly sent them a picture of my test. I wasn't even offered a partial credit or credit at all to go back at a later date. It is just real sad that with what is going on that they can't work with people a little more. I understand that they are in the business of making money. Good customer service goes along with that. It is opening weekend that was fully booked. I am sure that site will be sold to someone else and they will get their money out of the site. Most likely they have a waiting list. I am sure they would not have appreciated me coming and potentially getting others sick, This is the nail in the coffin for me and camping at KOA's. Just very sad.

I liked everything about this campground, it is certainly one of the nicest campgrounds I've stayed at recently. A very helpful staff greeted us and if I remember correctly, even gave us a couple of delicious cookies. The sites were long and level and nicely shaded. The showers are the best. I wish I could have stayed more than the one night I had. I would absolutely stay there again if in the area.
