Cool camp spot. Literally in the woods, lots of shade. Flushing toilets, showers, electric outlets, picnic bench and firepits at most every site. Close to water, small creek runs through on the group side, throughout half the campgrounds to the join the Russian River. Water is relatively calm. Fishable from the banks. Canoe rentals available next door, within 200 yards. Location is just off River Road, close to Forestville for local small town shopping. (Safeway in Guerneville, 10 minute drive) 30 minutes from the ocean. Staff are friendly, firm but fair. Attentive to the grounds, they make rounds.

First part of this land is permeant residence (trail park) but the camping area is near by , each section is very spacious not crowded. Direct access to the Russian river , water is murky but after 10 min of floating the water current picks up & you end up at Steelhead Beach after 26 min of loafing. You can easily walk back to camp in 12 min. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Showers had good pressure and hot water, toilets were clean.

A wonderful surprise of a campground! This place is divided into two spaces. One is the upper level where RVs are parked in people live in them, there is a side section set up for camping and the spaces have numbers. The other place is down below and it's a grove of Redwood trees and it's just for tent camping or small trailers. (This place is called the club) The sites here are labeled with letters. We stayed in campsite S which was small but pleasantly perfect. Each campsite in the Grove has a fire pit a picnic table and seem to be close to a power outlet. There was also a water tap right at our site. The Grove is next to a little creek where they sometimes have canoes that you can rent from the site and canoe out to the river. The canoes were not up and running when we stayed. We drank our coffee in the sunshine by the creek and listened to all the birdsong. Overall, a lovely surprise to have a camping getaway on the Russian river without too much planning.

We were lucky to have found the Russian River Campground. What a blessing. The best team, clean showers, great trails, the space is nice. The location is near the shopping center in Windsor, champagne cellars, Armstrong Grove Redwood trees, and of course, the gorgeous Russian River. We are so thankful to have stayed there. The beach is thirty minutes away in Jenner, California.

These pictures were from the 4th of July. The staff is very sweet and friendly and the campsites in the club area are very nice. With the campsites up top you have a trail down to the river where you can swim and enjoy the water. When we went the water was low in parts so we were able to walk upstream and float on our tubes back to the camping area. Over all I recommend coming here if you are looking for a spot to camp!

It's awesome that's right on the river. Also awesome that it's fairly inexpensive. The place could use a bit of maintenance.

The management was pretty koo, confused our spots but fixed it. I would recommend buying two spaces cuz they are pretty close by each other which was not koo. But the bathrooms and showers were clean the whole. Campground was clean and kept up. Close to a store where they mark up prices of course but the beach and river are close by too.

Good river access for boating, not so good for swimming. Boating is great both upstream and downstream. There is a long lake behind a low dam 1/2 mile upstream.
