We had a fantastic experience at Mississagi Provincial Park! The lake water was incredibly clean and perfect for swimming, which made it such a refreshing and enjoyable spot to relax by. The scenery was breathtaking, with stunning views all around – from the lush forests to the serene lake, it truly felt like an escape into nature. We recently visited this park for our camping trip. We loved the park as it was very quiet and had a good amount of forest cover, offers you many good quality hikes that are strenuous and have varying levels of difficulty unlike many other Ontario parks with dummy hikes. The natural beauty is untouched and not commercialized, lakes are serene and surprisingly clear waters. There are rolling hills all over the park , the paths were unpaved and the overall feel is rustic. We loved the Helenbar lake hike,it was well marked, and had stunning lookout points. The semiwite like beach was nice and clean and never crowded, perfect for us to swim and kayak all day.The campsites are a bit smaller as compared to few other parks we stayed at before and lack privacy. No comfort stations or flush toilets as mentioned in the website. The Park staff were mostly teenagers who lacked any kind of knowledge about the park, but did a decent job for checking us in 😁. Lastly,in addition to killer mosquitoes we also experienced spiders in the campsite. Overall we loved what the park had to offer us.

We had an amazing time during our stop at Mississagi during our honeymoon in July 2023. Fantastic hiking opportunities through unique environments. The views from the Helenbar Lake lookout are breathtaking! The sites in the campground are lovely - large and well-treed. Be advised that there are quite a number of trailer campers who periodically run noisy generators, but all were pretty respectful of the posted quiet hours during our stay. Overall, a great experience!

Best actual site I've had, absolutely beautiful. Large, private, water access, and overall stunning. Very quiet park, only saw a few other campers, however, given early June and the insane bug situation, not surprised. Outhouses were clean and well maintained. Gave it a 4 because they do not have a comfort station in the park. After a couple of days of bug spray and lake water, a shower would have been amazing.

Such a hidden gem! This park is beautiful! The drive up to it is so pretty especially in the fall and the park was clean and well kept. The lake is beautiful and the water is chrystal clear. We did the Helenbar lake trail and the Flack trail. Both were wonderful! The stars at night were also quite a site to see. Will definitely be coming back.
