It was a really nice campground and for the water water, the marsh area and the proximity of the Mississippi River. I was totally surprised at the lack of mosquitoes and other flying insects. I would definitely go there again. Nice relaxing. Well organized and at $26 a night for water and electricity you can't go wrong.

This is one of our favorite places to "camp'. They offer electric and water hookup for $26 a night. A great deal! A lot of spaces along the Mississippi River (if you book early). Everyone is very friendly. The shower house has improved a bit, it is much cleaner than I have seen in the past.

First time ever camping and my experience was amazing. This location is great, quiet, safe and has bathrooms and showers. the rangers and volunteers are beyond friendly. The other campers are also very kind. The wildlife and nature were so great to witness. If you've never been camping like me, this is a great first step!

This is a wonderful campground. All of the sites are cement slabs, and many have water and electricity. The sites on the water side are little waterfront properties. Nature comes up so close. You feel like you can reach out and touch it. A nature lovers delight. Prairies and bike paths nearby.

Spent the last 5 days at Thompson Causeway, COE Campground, in Thompson IL Nice place! We relaxed, made new friends, saw great sunsets, and spent time on the Mississippi. Road our bikes all over. Great memories.

We always have the nicest time when we stay at the Causeways. Quiet, relaxing, good for the soul time. Dogs love it, too. Extra long sites so they can be back away from people/dogs walking by.

Perfect yet hot 3 day weekend over labor day. Bathrooms with shower within walking distance of campgrounds. Electricity hookups available. Just bring an extension cord. You may need a 50 amp to 20 amp adapter which can easily be found on Amazon. Wood bundles available nearby - $5/bundle $20/ five bundles.

Beautiful campground on the Mississippi river. Our area had concrete pads at the camp site. Very dog friendly. Playground for kids. Canoe/kayaking nearby. Beautiful hiking/biking trails.
