Went for our first time this year. Found free parking, enjoyed viewing all the crafts, vegetables, equipment and farm animals. The rides seemed much safer than your average city carnival and most of the staff seemed friendly. There was a sufficient state police presence which made me feel safer with my family. The beer garden seemed fun and had a great band. I found the food and drinks to be overpriced. I saw camper hookup options. Rides had full day wristband options or tokens on a card. My family attended the evening show which had good sound unless you seat in the back because you can hear the shelter rattle. I'd go back again, you can spend a full day here.

I spent Saturday, August 16, at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia and had a good time. The Beef House served up tasty, filling food with friendly service, making it a solid spot to grab a meal. The Tiger Stripe ice cream was a nice, refreshing treat. Browsing the local crafts was fun, with a cool variety of handmade items that added a community vibe. I enjoyed walking around to check out the variety of animals on display—bunnies, horses, cattle, and petting zoo animals—which gave a real feel for Missouri’s farming roots. I also liked sampling some local wine, which was surprisingly smooth and added a nice touch to the day. Later, I watched the Draft Horse Show, and it was an absolute must-see, with those huge horses showing off their strength and flare. The fair had a relaxed, friendly feel, perfect for a day out. I’d likely go back next year.

I've been to over 10 state fairs and this one was really relaxing and laid-back. I enjoyed wondering and watching the different shows I really love the Chicago Honey Bears. There singing and dancing was contagious. Well worth going to the fair for fun and entertainment. Out of all the fairs this one pushed the rides the most and seemed most realistic in pricing.

Setting up a concession trailer for the opening of the Missouri State Fair. While walking around the fairgrounds it's absolutely beautiful. The old buildings look to be well maintained in architecture and style.

Great location for an Airstream rally! Lots golf green grass, open space, full hook-up camping and lots of great meeting space! Steven Sim’s spoke at our opening event and he is an excellent public speaker with appropriate humor riddled within his message. Steven has a promising and solid future ahead of him.

A fine tribute to the deep, rich agricultural history of the Show-Me State. Fun free shows, interesting exhibits, and livestock barns are great experiences. Better signage would make it easier to get around.

So we talked to this guy running one of the game stands. The game is where you try to throw a dart into the center of a picture of an apple. As we were talking he was trying to sweeten us up and proceeded to say about 7 "my ex wife couldn't/not like my ex wife/my ex wife..." Jokes like " oh your aim can't be that bad, My ex-wife couldn't hit xyz from xyz" and while I do appreciate a dark joke every once in awhile, he just continued to go for it even though we were just kind of uncomfortably laughing and being like. "Yeah man anyway..." So other than that uncomfortable situation, I love this place!

This is a nice large fairground with several buildings to have events in. The parking is minimal and they need to improve it but everything else is top notch. We enjoyed the pow wow and food. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to learn about culture.

Always a great experience! I got stuffed at the pork and beef house had everything fried I saw and I have ZERO regrets. The art and animals make me proud to be a Missourian and the people enjoying it with me are the best. Everyone should have a chance to enjoy the state fair
