The campground is one of our favorites and we always stay in the primitive cabins. This year was as cold as it has been in the past but the heater could not keep us warm like it has in the past. It kept cutting off and now staying on so we left a night early instead of staying another night.

Awesome experience with my family. We tent camped and loved the place. It was convenient but still woodsy. Plenty to do, close to wineries and restaurants if that’s what you wanted. Just a quiet place to hang out. Also the on site shop was reasonably priced.

I called Labor day, Monday, at 4 pm as first time visit and paid in full for Friday Saturday night . We had family accident that requires us to stay home to care for a loved one. I called today, less than 48 hours from making the reservation, Wednesday at 11:30, They only refunded 1 night, stating that they emailed Me a cancellation policy of minimum 10 days. We made the reservation 4 days ahead of time. And since we showed good faith and paying in full, we expect good faith in return. If the reservation is being made inside your cancellation policy, you should tell the customer at that time there is no refund due to inside of the period. Emailing them inside of the 10 days is just silly. We were going to meet friends that are staying there, we won’t be returning unless the owner John steps in and corrects this . At that point , I’ll edit my review .

C9 best cabin in the place was amazing, great location in the middle of all the other cabins, lots of space for a tent setup, hammock setup. Employee were more then willing to help with my dead battery issues, was amazing and so thankful I didn't need to wait 3 plus hours for my AAA guys to get to some remote camp site. Location is insanely easy to find. Lastly has a lot of great things for kids, but they are also great with kids. They had a kickball game where 4+ employee entertained all kids in the park for 2 hours or so. Great place 10/10 would recommend.

Been going to Misty Mountain for years but our group is looking for a new campground. The price next year is skyrocketing to $116 for a 30 amp back in on the top. .Prices going up and what they offer is declining. Water pressure in camper was like an infant pissing on you. Actually cut my goosebumps off shaving. We miss the old owner Mike that was always upgrading and making the stay fun. Oh and they used to offer all you can eat breakfast on Memorial Day Monday which was nice so you could pack up and go down for breakfast so you didn’t have to cook and clean up.Looking for suggestions for other campgrounds in the area.
