Nice place and people but cottonwood seeds and mosquitoes prevailed

A wonderful place to stay. The owners and staff are very nice and they treat everyone like family. The grounds are kept very clean. I’d highly recommend staying here

I am not an experienced user of RV/Trailer campgrounds. I stayed with a friend in his medium-sized towed camper. The setting seemed nice enough, but the public buildings (restrooms, showers, laundry) seemed to me to be very run down and in need of maintenance. I imagine the cabins available for rent are much better.

Old old photos of this scary place. When you pull in, the sign indicates what you are about to experience. The showers are so, so filthy and mold and mildew laden. I would NOT I repeat NOT even use the toilet. The grounds are so filthy and filled with mosquitoes because of stagnant water. The owners have mostly full time residents and not needing new true RV campers. They should NOT be in business. Sad, but so filthy. Please try any of the other numerous beautiful camp sites.

Overnight stay in this adequate RV park. The bathroooms and showers were closed for the season. Our space was just fine. Lots of junck and clutter around. Pros - quiet park. Owner gave us some good tips. Cons - a little expensive.

We stayed at Mogote for 2 nights because it was close to the train depot for Cumbres Toltec railway. Pictures on website must have been from long ago as the place is now run down and very dumpy. Mosquitoes were terrible. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Only reason I gave even one star is the man that checked us in was nice.

Giant cottonwoods offer cool summertime shading. Surrounded by the twin rivers of the Conejos. Quiet, serene getaway offers several cabins and plenty of RV spaces. Only walking distance to the fly shop and world class trout fishing.

The owners are awesome people!! It is a great atmosphere. Will be returning there soon.

I stayed here one night in a cabin and it was really comfortable. I needed a place just to park myself and rest after a few days camping and hiking in the national parks and this did the trick. It was clean and tidy and even had a little kitchen for cooking. The area is a bit mundane, but I wasn't planning on leaving the cabin. If you're looking for somewhere to base some adventures, I'd maybe go a bit closer to the mountains.

OMG!!! Elk, right outside the cabin windows! We spent an afternoon at Cumbres Adventures snow mobiling and an afternoon cross country skiing on some forest trails! These cabins were perfect! Not in a crazy ski lodge town but close enough (1.5hrs to red river or 2hrs to pagosa springs) if you wanted personal space. The river was about 30ft from the front door. Snow covered the landscape all around us. Jim was a fantastic host (I didnt meet the Mrs.). The cabin worked well for the 4 of us. Looking forward to coming some spring/summer to try some fly fishing.

Love this place. Very friendly relaxed RV Park with roomy spaces. Pot lucks and outings bring guests together. The owners are friendly and sweet. If casual and comfortable are your cup of tea you will like this place.
