So many campgrounds in this area, we’ve stayed here 3 different times now and enjoy the quiet atmosphere and less traffic like many others. Lots of areas to park with plenty of shade and things to do at camp and nearby.

Showed up on friday.....it's mohician we are being loud around 330 til 630....nobody from campsite owners or "security " talked to us or warned us... We were sitting around a fire at 730 cops show up. With suppose of security that never talked to us. And night manager...We are doing nothing. Cops leave no ticket or warning. Mind you we are not in our 20s or 30s....some owner shows up in the morning at 930 mind you we are awake. Says we need to leave doesn't refund the money for the next three days and we had to be out in an hour....so they could double their money. Also my daughter was meeting us there with no reception. Lied to her saying we got kicked out the night before. Will never go back. My opinion if you want to have fun dont go there also there was nobody next to us for 3 sights on either side.

I’m surprised at the couple of bad reviews here. This campground rocks! I’ve been camping here for 30+ years. I never feel more relaxed than when leaving after a weekend on these gorgeous grounds. The campsites are huge, the river is beautiful, and the fact that you have to book the best sites a year in advance (for summer months) tells you just how amazing this place is.

I've camped here a couple of times recently and had a great experience. Camping along the river was really cool. Sites were nice complete with a fire ring and picnic table. Place was fairly quiet minus some horrible barking dog someone decided to bring... Highly recommended tough.

Our visit to this campsite was a complete letdown. The grounds were filthy, muddy, and poorly maintained. The porta potties were barely cleaned — I watched staff do a half-hearted job at best. To make matters worse, the customer service was abysmal. Staff were rude and unhelpful, and it was obvious that the newer employees hadn’t been properly trained. They tell you to arrive 15 minutes before your rental departure, but that’s misleading. If they don’t think serving you is “worth it,” they’ll turn you away — it’s all about their profits, not the guests. After reading through more reviews, it’s clear we weren’t the only ones treated this way. One staff member — possibly the manager or owner, maybe named Dave based on other negative reviews — was especially disrespectful. He had a terrible attitude, lacked professionalism, and showed no courtesy or sportsmanship whatsoever. There are far better camping sites in the area. Don’t waste your time or money here. If you’re looking for a positive outdoor experience, I’d highly recommend The Adventures instead — their staff were kind, respectful, and truly made us feel welcome.

This is a response for Frank Cerne regarding allowing people to park on the road. Those people were us. We had gotten stuck in the mud with our motorhime. Dave and the staff pulled us out. They then allowed us to park on the road in a loop until the ground firmed up. It was a loop, you could go in and out on the other side of the loop. We pulled off the road as soon as the ground firmed up. So instead of badmouthing the place maybe ask a question. Thanks Mohican Wilderness we will keep coming back every year!

I had a camper here for a couple of seasons. Very peaceful, relaxing atmosphere & my lot was a good size, not all crammed up right next to neighbors. Highly recommended!!! 😊😊😊

Attended a wedding reception here on 08/21/2021. It was my daughter's. We had book their pavilion and several camping sites for the weekend. EVERYONE that worked there was extremely nice and accommodating. The place and setting was beautiful. Very highly recommended!
