Big Bend Campground is a beautiful place with a great family atmosphere. The campsites are large and accommodate RVs and/or multiple tents. The best part about this place is the nearly 360° lazy river tubing experience. This place has no cell service and you’ll have to travel along a 2 1/2 mile dirt road to finally get to the campground. The Camp Hosts were great and offered a lot of local information and tips. While this is a great location and provides memorable adventures, it would be great if the picnic tables and some of the fire rings could be updated as they’re nearing the end of their service life. However, this simply a great place to unhook from the daily grind.

Rick and Tomiko are the best camp hosts. Camp is very well maintained. We had no mosquito problems at all and didn't even wear bug spray all weekend. River float is shallow and slow which was comforting bringing my 2 and 4 year old on. Would love to make this a family regular place to camp. We had no cell service. A plus for us but maybe not everyone.

This place is amazing! So beautiful and relaxing! It's way out in the middle of no where so you really feel the wilderness. At the same time, there's modern amenities to keep you comfortable! Nothing like a hot shower after playing in the river! Our campsite was in the upper loop and we had a great view of the night sky. The camp hosts are super friendly and accommodating! Bring floaties to play in the river. This is the most REAL lazy river experience you could wish for! So much fun!

Rick and Tomikio were some of the best camp hosts we’ve ever had! Don’t forget your inner tubes for an incredible weekend of floating on the river at this unique and remote campground. The hot showers were amazing and they sell firewood on site! We will definitely be back.

My favorite place in the entire world. I've been coming here since I was an infant in the 90s, I got engaged here, and now I bring my kids here to make their own memories riding the big bend loop. We love the remoteness, easy access to the beautiful river, and if you stay on the river side of the river loop the sound of the rapids will lull you to sleep each evening. The new camp hosts were friendly and are keeping the place nicely maintained. Can't wait to be back again soon in our own slice of heaven.
