My wife, small dog, and I recently stayed, in our RV, for 5 days at Monroe Bay Campsite, in Colonial Beach, VA. I have to say this was the best campsite we’ve ever stayed in. The staff, and campers were all super-friendly. Everyone waves and says hello. There was a beautiful beach, on a bay, close to the mouth of the Potomac River, with swans, and a bandstand, where we saw a fun band on Saturday night. The bathrooms were spotless and included washers and dryers. On a 1-5 star basis, I would give them a 10.

It's very peaceful, friendly people, more quiet then I expected, so that's nice. The food at the store was amazing !!! It's just a really relaxing fun place for family to enjoy their summer. Colonial Beach is also pretty neat !

Clean, quiet, quaint camping. Not a whole lot for children except one small playground. Boating, fishing and relaxing!

The price was good, pull in sites this park is located on the water it has a small beach that is nice there are many campers there permanently where people come out on the weekends to enjoy life this reminded me of a book or books where people go on the weekend and make wonderful memories on the beach it’s a small Beach there is so much laughter in this park it’s fun the people are nice. My niece lived in Maryland and this was easy to get to the bridge to cross over there and see her. I enjoyed this park. Now if you want a quiet fancy park you may not enjoy this.

Nice R&R campground they designate a side for swimming and a side for fishing very nice and kind people, the showers are clean but their bathrooms not so much it smells of oldness definitely need to renovate there isn't a pool either which blows I'm not and neither are my children a ocean/river swimmer bathing suit’s always get ruined.

A fun place to go to. Most people leave their trailers there year round, so there is a pretty close nit community of friendly people there. If you love fishing, drinking a few beers, sitting around a fire and listening to good music around good people, this is the place to go. The store located on the property and run by the owners makes some incredibly good food. You'd be wise to try them out while there as everything on the menu is great. My only minor complaint would be that the plots of land you rent are quite small. So some of your neighbors are almost within arms length.

We have been here for four years now. We love to come here, especially me. I love to fish and crab and hang out with my friends. If I could live there then I would but for now it's a great weekend escape for me.
