My niece's wedding was lovely! However, the guest services at Mont du Lac were greatly lacking. We had NO HOT WATER! They had provided an after hours service number which we called several times to report the problem, but no one ever responded! We also texted that same number and no one ever responded. I finally spoke with someone in person the following morning, but nothing was taken care of before we needed to be at the (late afternoon) wedding! I was promised a refund for a portion of our stay, but I have not received anything as of yet and it has been a month! There was also a mouse seen upstairs, a lamp that was not working, and several screens that weren't staying on the windows. I had paid for our stay months in advance, so they knew we were coming and staying there as guests. Not very welcoming.

Beautiful location that has a great overlook that makes you feel like you are on top of a mountain. Service was slow (about an hour wait) as it appeared only two servers working tables and bar. Food was very very good!

To the owner, you have a beautiful place and the room we stayed in is decorated nicely. The view is amazing from the lodge. When making the reservation to stay in the lodge, it was apparent the employee was not given enough training or information to assist us with our questions. After getting our room changed to the King which we initially requested, we were informed by another employee there is a price increase for the King and a 3% credit card fee. We specifically asked 2 different times if the room has a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker and told yes by 2 different employees. There was no microwave. There was a coffee maker but no coffee cups. We asked if there was an elevator and told yes but it’s for employees only. Hauling our belongings up and down 20 steps and walking past the elevator each time was ridiculous. There is no ice machine, we were told we could buy ice from the base store. There was no tissue in the room. We made a special trip to buy ice and tissue. The room appeared clean enough except for the hair shavings in the bathroom drawer. We want to thank the guy working to take down the party tent for assisting us in getting into the lodge and to our room. The employee that checked us in did not explain which door to use to get to the room. She didn’t bother to welcome us or say hello. Customer service is terrible.

This place is a lovely to take your family with a camper or RV. Be aware that your reservation is only paying for the space and not any of the activities. Those are extra and on a per day basis. As an example, if you wish to swim in the manmade lake with swimming platforms and or use the sand beach, you must pay $10 per person per day to do so. So make sure to add that into your budget. You can, however, sit in the grass and watch your children for free. There are other activities and opportunities to explore, such as walking the local paths, or biking. There is a local park near by as well. The people we experienced there were kind and engaging. The spots are rather close together, but have ample room to set out chairs and enjoy the fire pit that comes with your site. There are also picnic tables, but those are in various states of repair. The bathroom/ shower building was rather clean considering how many kids and families were all sharing them. There were 4 bathroom/shower rooms in the building and there is also a laundry facility. The water hookups at the camper sites are clear and don’t taste much of the local iron rich waters. However, the shower room was not as well filtered. Over all, we had a great time and look forward to going again next year.

Such a great place to get a cabin or park your rig. The view from the trophy room on top of the ski slope is amazing. We had a perfectly clear day and enjoyed a nice reasonably priced delightful cocktail. The water park and beach area is a must for kids.

I did a weekend stay here with my gf for Maplefest. There wasn't a lot of advertised information on it, but the price was very reasonable and it sounded like a fun way to spend a weekend out of town during the sort of gray lull between winter and spring. I honestly didn't know what to expect but we figured even for the price of lodging alone, it was worth it to check it out. Full disclosure, I hadn't been to Mont Du Lac since the late 80s, so its completely different than I recall. The RV cabins near the front entrance are really really impressive. They're fully furnished with a futon, a loft, 2 beds, a kitchen, and a bathroom/shower. We stayed in one for both nights. The cabins are directly adjacent to a big pool with a waterslide that looks like it would be a fun thing for families with kids to do in the middle of summer. We started Saturday with a pancake breakfast at the base lodge, and visited two different maple syrup farms in Duluth afterwards. Not a typical way Id spend a Saturday, but it was very interesting and fun to see how the different producers did it. Mont du Lac provided shuttle service to and from everything, so that was nice as well. Oh, and Farmer Doug's dog and cat are super nice critters. All of the staff were really nice and helpful and attentive. Cameron, who was in charge of coordinating the whole weekend, did an absolutely amazing job. I hope Mont Du Lac continues doing events like this throughout the year. Hopefully a beer festival, maybe something apple themed in the fall, etc. If they do this again next year, we will def be back.

This was a our first time at the resort & plan on coming back next season for sure. Excellent staff for the chairlift personnel to the bartenders. It is a great family resort as you can watch the kids come down from all the runs if you want to take a break. See you next year….

I would come here just for the food. Nice spot to bring a date. Food was perfect, came out in less than 5 minutes, and the bartender was very cheerful! Far exceed my expectations!!

Was there with a large school group, and there were issues with getting all the kids' equipment. I was at the Tubing hill and (after a few hitches) the kids had a great time. They have switched from a tow-rope to a standing conveyer belt which made the hill inaccessible for one student who uses a wheelchair.

Nice ski hill with 2 lodges. This Saturday night there was live music ontop and down below. Full 5 piece jazz band and a long guitarist. Hills were well groomed and lifts very quick to get to the top.
