Rewrite: This campground is a mixed bag. While it's one of the few places with full hookups, the sites are very close together and it's always crowded. Almost half of their washers and dryers are broken, and the area is swarming with flies at least at the time we stayed there. Yet, it is just next to the highway and close to most attractions.

This is a great place to stop to see Monument Valley. Plus there's some other stuff to do in the area. The only reason for my 4 star review is the shower situation. The handicap shower head is broken, so that is difficult to use. And the middle stall shower head needs to be replaced, it was like razors on my nipples, which made it difficult to shower. And then the water went cold before I finished my shower. Everything else at the park was great.

Nice location. We found the highway noise to be acceptable. Spots do not have crushed gravel or a hard surface, so when it rains, the spots can become muddy, even with standing water. Electrical hookup locations are pretty well at the front of the site/RV, not in the usual location by the water and sewer.

The campsite is relatively new and has clean showers and toilets. However, be warned that sites far from horses are recommended, as annoying flies can be a nuisance. You’ll also miss a shadow as only a few sites have small trees, leaving the rest in the sun all day. Of course, you can’t expect grass in the desert. I parked our RV a bit crooked to get more shade for dinner with the kids. This way, it was still within our site and didn’t bother our neighbours. The only issue was that our car was slightly off the axis of the parking lot. The camp manager compelled me to relocate my RV to align with other vehicles. I inquired about the reason, as the car remained within our designated area. Her answer was: BECAUSE I SAID THAT AND I’M THE MANAGER HERE. The fundamental business rule is: if there is no customer, no manager is needed. This principle holds even greater significance when the customer (myself) has paid her, besides the campground daily fee, more than $300 for a three-hour Jeep rental to explore Monument Valley. The manager disregarded this issue even though other vehicles were parking diagonally to their caravans. Still, she expressed a significant problem when our RV cast shadows over our children’s dining area. It’s better to stay in Gouldings or pass through. However, there is one advantage of staying here. If you pay cash, it’s tax-free, the manager said.

Genuinely the most amazing view you’ll probably ever camp close to in your life. Also worth mentioning these were the cleanest bathrooms we’ve experienced on a five week road trip around the south west. We only stayed one night and had a camper; I imagine if you’re there for longer it could be a little claustrophobic in an RV or larger campervan as the sites are close together and the whole place isn’t massive. Very dry and very hot, but a good place to stay if visiting Monument Valley on a road trip.

Nice campground. Bathrooms we’re pretty clean, the staff was nice and so were the surrounding campers. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely gorgeous!!! I miss the scenery! The new trees are still growing, so I’m sure in a few more years this campground will have a lot more shade and greenery. Perhaps adding more trees and grassy areas would make it even better! The wind can blow pretty strong here (20-30 mph, 50mph gusts) kicking up the sand…so on those crazy wind days it’s not that fun. Perhaps building some more windbreaker fences and planting wind breaking trees would help on those days when the wind is unbearable. Other than that I have no complaints. It was a lovely 3 days here.☺️ Our kids loved the playground, playing with other kids and playing in the sand. There is a nice grassy area in the playground where my husband and son played catch. We also loved the big white dog that roams the campground from a nearby farm. He was the sweetest dog. Our son named him Sam. We have no idea what his real name is. He’s huge but as sweet as a teddy bear.

This is a fantastic place to stay. It is clean and Kandy does a fantastic job maintaining it. It was quiet for being right off the Highway. Clean restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. Very nice play area for the kids and a separate area for the pets to have some run time. I highly recommend this place to stay.

The most peaceful place to be after breaking my foot on the 1st day of Vacation 🤷 I meet this handsome Great Pyrenees, he's a local & very sweet. The bathhouse was amazing & the night sky was spectacular!! I would definitely recommend staying here !!
