We hooked up our fifth wheel with 30 amp service. The breaker at the box was broken/dangling so we had to use an adapter with 20 amp service. I notified the person in charge who offered to move us to another site or else have their electrician fix the problem the following day. We opted for next day service. We weren’t given a time for the service, so we went out for an early breakfast the next morning. The electrician came while we were gone which was no problem, except that we discovered upon returning that the problem was not fixed. The 30 amp breaker had been changed; however, it provided no power to the RV. The problem was not with the RV because we had power with the 20 amp. The camper had been all set up, and we really didn’t want to have to break it all down and move to another site. I reported to the office staff that the problem had not been resolved, believing that they might reach back out to the electrician. They refused and insisted that the problem had been fix, and that was that unless we wanted to move to another site. This place is a one and done for us!

I have stayed here a few times in the past couple of years, and each time it seems to go a little further downhill. In August of 25, I stayed there for 4 nights in the tenting section. The first evening I was woken up at 11:30 PM when the campers next to us rolled in with their headlights shining into my tent. They then went to clanging tent poles and blowing up air mattresses with a high pitched blower until around 12:30 AM, setting up their site with their headlights for a guide. So much for enforced quiet hours. My son was also awoken by this as it took place 15' from our tent. I let it go and didn't complain. The entire 4 day stay involved disgusting bathrooms that were never cleaned. I used the same stall each time and the same wad of toilet paper was on the back of the toilet for 3 of the 4 days. Showers were cold and overall the bathrooms were just gross...at all times. The last night of our stay I woke up to crunching around my tent at 4 am. I assumed it might be a racoon or an animal, but upon peering out through my unzipped tent I realized it was a person from the campsite beside us. They were under the influence of something and were staggering around and crashed into the clothesline and towels we had hanging on it near our picnic table. I hollers out of the tent and ask them to leave the site. They indicated they were trying to find their campsite. Once again my son was woken up by this disturbance. Not knowing fully what they were under the influence of or what they were up to I stood guard from 4 am until everyone else in the family was up for the day. We promptly packed up and got out of there. On our way out I planned on talking to the office about it so they were aware of the nuisance, but they did not open until 10 am. I did receive a survey via email and text from Thousand Trails. I filled it out and asked that someone from the management contact me so I could discuss in detail the issues I had while there. The did respond via text that management would contact me. It is now September, 5 weeks since I was there, and I am still holding my breath for that call. The campground has a lot of potential, but when I stayed it was dirty, there was no one to enforce rules and it was not a great experience.

so my first visit was relaxing and friendly, and I had assistance after hours when I needed Would or if I needed something desperately, and this was a desperate situation no power needed Would. Somebody usually drives around with wood in the evenings and no power. What if I didn’t couldn’t use the power next-door I don’t understand why no one will respond. Do they not have an evening after hours maintenance partner person maybe not this late in the season I’m not sure. I’ll adjust this tomorrow if I can figure this out but the fact that I didn’t even get a response I was told that the barbecue grill worked. Maybe it’s just the igniter because I couldn’t do it all in all. I’ve loved Thousand Trails but this is my 11th day as an encore member and I still have 20 days left to decide if I want to cancel my membership. This was very frustrating. Relaxing, Friendly, and the Best Beach Access! What truly made my trip special was the happy, welcoming staff. Every morning started with smiles and fresh coffee when the office opened at 9AM—it was such a warm touch and made me feel right at home. The team was always helpful, answering all my questions with patience and a great attitude. I stayed on a large tent campsite, which had plenty of room and a peaceful vibe. There are multiple bathrooms on the property, and while one of them didn’t have hot water (no matter how many times I tried) Or ran it for over 20 minutes , I could tell it might be a work in progress. I didn’t mind though, because the newer bathroom—just a short drive away—was spotless, spacious, and had amazing hot showers. The location can’t be beat. I went to Wells Beach every single day—it’s just minutes away and absolutely stunning. The campground pool was clean and relaxing, with hours that ran until about 8PM. There were plenty of activities for kids, a hot tub for the adults, and I even got to use the on-site barbecue grill with gas provided—such a nice extra! If you’re looking for a clean, family-friendly spot with unbeatable beach access and friendly vibes, Moody Beach Thousand Trails is 100% worth it. Already dreaming about my next stay! Stay here every year. We love the campground! The pool and hot tub are great. Much more busy this year than the last few years. New bathroom/shower housea we're pretty filthy Sunday morning. That's really my only complaint. Super close to all the stores, and beaches. (You need to be up and out early to get there without traffic). Upsetting this year the shuttle to and from the beach provided by the campground for a small fee was not up and running. This was very sad. Wells trolley is also no longer up and running. Over all Maine is always the place to be.

We stayed at this campground for 3 days. It was pretty cheap, which was a plus, and it was mostly quiet and peaceful—except at 7 AM every single morning when the garbage truck rolled through. It was extremely loud and completely ruined our sleep every day. Definitely not the kind of wake-up call you want while camping. The bathrooms were the worst part. They hadn’t been cleaned in days—dirty floors, overflowing garbage, and a noticeable bug infestation. Each time I went back, (which was often as I was tent camping), I knew it hadn’t even been checked up on. It felt really unhygienic and uncomfortable to use. If you’re just looking for a low-cost place to stay and don’t mind rough conditions, this might do. But if cleanliness and quiet mornings matter to you, I’d look elsewhere.

Pros: Level sites Decent space between sites Has a little store for basics Close to shops Walking distance to beautiful beach Mini Golf and go karts Cons: Park wide water problems and poor communication from the park If you are a traditional family then the area is not suitable for children, specifically Ogunquit which is walking distance from the park. Strongly suggest looking into the little town of Ogunquit and what they celebrate.

We planned on a week but when we arrived in May, they were open 2 days but were not ready for guests, no recreation hall use, two bathrooms were closed for repairs. The other two were freezing couldn’t figure out any heat or find out how to turn it on. Bathrooms were old, but clean. The hot tub was not working. The pool was closed until Memorial Day. The cable was not working. They said they had called the man to fix it but ours never did work. The laundry room had a sign that said out of order. 2025 May this was the worst vacation spot for us so we left after four days.

Been a Thousand trails member for multiple years as well as parents and grandparents. This place is not up to standard of the Thousand trails brand. The cabins are all we use and for the price paid, the place is in serious need of updates and upgrades. Not sure if this is a manager issue or a TT issue. Whaler's rest in Oregon has all newer or updated cabins. The one we're in has a heater that only heats up the back bedroom but the thermostat is in the living area making it get over 90 degrees in a few moments. Constantly having to turn the heat on or off by hand. Another issue is the allowance of other guests playing extremely loud music. The ranger said quiet time is at 11pm. If this were any of the other locations this wouldn't be an issue. He did ask them to quiet up but the music is easily heard through the walls of our cabin. Update: The night ranger did ask the neighbors to lower the volume. It was much better after that.

Camping at this place was the absolute worst experience. We arrived at our tent site to find it strewn with broken glass and trash. The fire pit had not been cleaned out, and was FULL of half melted plastic and aluminum cans. Upon moving a couple of large rocks that were a tripping hazard in the middle of the site, I realized that our tent site was situated on a leach field. There was a large circle of sand in the middle of the site, clearly covering over an RV septic tank. The smell of raw sewage was overwhelming when I moved the rocks and dug out the fire pit. The restrooms by the pool and offices were absolutely disgusting, and the facilities closest to our tent site were closed. On the last morning of our stay, the experience got worse! While I was using the restroom, a member of the housekeeping staff trying to clean the restroom repeatedly and impatiently asked “are you done yet?” And said that “I was taking forever”. I had maybe been on the toilet for 3-5 minutes at that point. I have a medical condition and sometimes things can take a while. She repeatedly harassed me and it was absolutely humiliating. There is NO reason ANYONE should EVER be rushed and asked to leave a restroom short of the building being on fire. When I exited the restroom she confronted me, shaking her head and ROLLING HER EYES in a very condescending and demeaning manor. At that point I demanded that she take me to her supervisor. Jason, the general manager handled the situation to the best of his ability. I was told that she would receive “extra training” regarding her behavior in the situation. In my option that staff member should have been terminated immediately. The entire ordeal was very upsetting, and I will never be back.

40 foot fifth wheel 50 amp FHU Pros: -1.5 miles to ocean/beach. They also have a shuttle to the beach. - the sites were spacious and the front sites were open and gravel with a nice piece of grass for your site. -Showers in the front were nice and hot -Gravel spots were nice and spacious -Pool was heated and had hot tub - great Starlink service in front area - staff had a list of open sites when we checked in- LOVE THIS, SO HELPFUL -staff were very friendly and present - two playgrounds, basketball court, very family friendly. Cons: - laundry room had machines that were non-operational, it was also not all that clean. We opted to use the laundromat after our first attempt at laundry. There was one about a mile away that was nice. -this is more our preference but the area was very touristy. It took us 30 minutes to get anywhere that felt like a more local experience or to even get reasonably priced groceries. - while the bathrooms were hot, they were not all that clean. Lots of clumps of hair that were there the duration of our 3 week stay. Overall a place we would stay again and one of the better Thousand Trails we have stayed at.

Small Thousand Trails campground close to Kinnebunk. Quiet park in October with only a few campers. New and very clean shower building up front. We like to walk our dog around to explore and we're pleased with most of the campsite s. Trees are very close to campers. Our site pad needed more gravel as our supports kept sinking. We would stay again

We pulled in and we’re told to go pick a spot after checking in with not much guidance. We drove around and found a spot that was easy to navigate into. Well the site had trash left on it from previous people the one pile was we don’t even know what. We hooked up power and water which were fine. My husband went to check out the restroom /bath house and said to me don’t even think of going in there it’s disgusting. So we unhooked the trailer and went out for the day as spending time at the sure was not an option here. There were odd looking rental trailers/mobile homes surrounding us and if you sat outside pretty much it was a shared area we were not even certain which fire put was ours. Not sure how there are so many rave reviews this was the worst place we have ever been to and for nearly $100 a night I thought it would at least be kept up. On a side note this morning on our way out we stopped at the restrooms near the entrance and my husband said that bathroom there was clean and kept up crazy how one is in complete disarray and the other was so well kept. More direction from the staff would have been helpful. Extremely disappointed and will not go back.

This place is very good; I came up for an overnight with my boyfriend and we were not disappointed. The good: the cottage was well laid out, decent privacy, good amenities. My bf and I fell asleep on the couch and it was surprisingly comfortable. Friendly people, hard working staff, a decent pool area, typical run of the mill good amenities. The bed was quite comfortable and I had no problems. The not so good: the lounge was not cleaned and looked neglected, both the lounge and the main office were showing their age. Both buildings looked ramshackle and dated. My bf and I wanted one last swim before check out which was made impossible by very lengthy pool maintenance. Overall, would I come back? Definitely. Rates are pretty typical for this time of year and I would like a getaway vacation so we will see what happens.
