This RV park has been around a long time. Facilities are well-used, but clean and functional. Water supply reliable but smelled of high iron content. Nightly cost here is very reasonable. Although not far from the highway, the park is nestled back against some cliffs & forested area – the feeling here is much better than the huge “parking lot” RV park just down the road. Possible to hike into the cliff/forest area behind the park, also a number of hiking opportunities not far from the park. About 70% of sites occupied by seasonal guests, we seemed to be the only short-term guests during the entire weekend we were there (mid-July). The seasonal guests are all very friendly and nice – we were invited to a pot-luck dinner at the campground clubhouse the night we arrived, it was fun getting to know the other guests and we enjoyed some good food. Most nights a group played table games in the clubhouse as well. Many of the guests have multiple hummingbird feeders out, the number of hummingbirds around the campground was amazing. WiFi worked poorly – not able to connect at times, at other times could connect but no internet access, but occasionally it worked (slowly). Making a reservation is very old-school: Call and leave a message, you will likely receive a call back the next morning. Mail a check for the deposit, then pay the balance by check or cash after you arrive. Office is infrequently staffed but everyone at the campground knows the manager who also lives on-site. All-in-all we enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely stay again.

We went horseback riding as a family of 17. They had to take us in two separate trips as we were too big. Everyone had a real good time and I highly recommend it. We had first timers with us did fine. We go into the hills, but it's not bad.

Because of the dumb Dan chap who’s giving false information….. this place is quaint and great and most importantly OPEN. I know ppl who stay there yearly. I am about to visit myself. Mostly older folks owners are very kind. Great place to relax.

Not really a "resort" but we really enjoyed it. Quiet, nice people. They only take checks or cash. We were passing through, one night only. Would love to go back!
