Location & Surroundings

The park is situated in Moore Haven, a quiet town known as the gateway to the massive Lake Okeechobee. The landscape is flat and open, offering expansive views of the Florida sky and easy access to the lakeside levee. This rural setting allows for incredible stargazing and a peaceful environment where the sounds of local wildlife replace the noise of heavy city traffic.

This KOA provides practical features designed for modern RVers, including spacious full-hookup sites that accommodate various rig sizes. During the sunny afternoons, the heated swimming pool serves as a central hub for relaxation and socializing with fellow campers. For those traveling with pets, the dedicated KampK9 dog park offers a safe, fenced space for exercise. Other essential features include clean laundry facilities, a community clubhouse, and a dedicated camp store, ensuring a balance of rustic charm and modern convenience during your stay.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The primary draw for visitors is the world-class fishing found on Lake Okeechobee, which is just minutes from the park. Anglers frequently visit the area to catch trophy-sized largemouth bass and crappie. For land-based recreation, the Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail provides miles of paved and gravel paths perfect for cycling, hiking, and birdwatching. History enthusiasts can explore the local culture of Moore Haven, while nature lovers will appreciate the proximity to various wildlife management areas that showcase Florida's unique inland ecosystems.

The staff were great! Friendly upbeat people that were fun to hang out with during a halloween weekend. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience at this campground, and a big part of that was thanks to the incredible managers. From the moment we arrived, they were warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. You can tell they truly care about the campground and the guests—they were always available to answer questions, give directions, or just share a friendly smile. The facilities well-maintained, and everything ran smoothly, which is a testament to their hard work behind the scenes. They went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable and had everything they needed for a great stay. Whether you’re a first-time camper or a seasoned RVer, you’re in great hands with these managers. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail make this campground stand out. Highly recommend!

Have to share our 4th of July experience this year, we were invited to spend our day in the park. Management provided a beautiful BBQ, we were invited to use the pool (which was beautiful) and all facilities. We played cornhole and listened to great music. We had a wonderful day and want to thank Terea, the new manager, for including us in the fun. The park is in need of some repair but she had made a huge difference in a short time! We will be back and know, given time and her energy, this park will be a very desirable destination soon! Good job to ALL who are making this RV park a true winner!!!!

Clean, well-kept campground with friendly staff. We liked that it is set in rural Florida amidst ranches and sugar cane farms, but only a half hour to groceries and shopping. No traffic issues. No crowds. Large sites. We'll be returning next winter from Michigan for our third year.

Owner obviously doesn't care about this location as the electric all over the park has major issues, tons of power outages since I've been here I've been here a yr now if I had a truck to move my camper I would have been gone. On site manager is rude and disrespectful always she can't even keep employees because she doesn't respect them. And doesn't really chip in on the work that truly needs to be done she makes employees sit on golf carts outside all day on their shifts it got up to 105 some days last summer and an employee passed away because he had over hydrated sitting in the heat R.I.P. Gary the best employee that worked here. I do not recommend anymore than a night or two here. Laundry machines a majority of them are broke down...its been a yr... no atm or debit card reader for the change machine so you have to drive 5-10 miles to pull out cash just to do your laundry. So much more to list but you get the point would rate 0 stars but not an option.
