Some sites are nice (on the river.) However, the owners have closed the restrooms/ showers without telling anyone. Owner said they can't afford it. Also, asked for an extra hour on getaway day to do a local activity. I was told that there would be no extra hour, I had to be out by 11, even though check-in for that day was 2 PM. Horrible owner...

Quiet, clean campground with a beautiful river right behind our campsite. Mary was great, gave us lots of information about the area, fall festivals, breweries and wineries around, and a Belly-Ache tour guide to get you all things Maple syrup and candy related. Would definitely camp here again.

We spent labor day weekend here. It's a lovely little campground. Our site was next to the river and it was so nice to wake up and listen to the water and have a relaxing view as well. This campground caters to adults so it was very quiet as well. We would definitely visit again!

Zero stars if I could — avoid this place at all costs. My fiancé and I were on the road to New Hampshire and needed a quick stop to dump our tanks and refill water. We’ve done this at countless campgrounds across the U.S., where it’s standard practice to leave a credit card or check in a drop box when no one’s in the office. That’s exactly what we attempted here—until we were met with one of the most appalling displays of customer service we’ve ever experienced. We pulled in, found the office unattended, knocked, waited, and—like we’ve done dozens of times before—proceeded to hook up, fully intending to leave payment. A few minutes later, the owner and her staff stormed out, yelling at us as if we were criminals. When we calmly explained the situation, they dismissed us, claimed we should have somehow known to knock on a door clearly labeled “Private Residence,” and showed zero willingness to hear us out. Instead of charging us a reasonable dump fee, they hit us with a full night’s stay—despite the fact that we never used their electrical hookups, didn’t stay overnight, and only needed fifteen minutes to dump and fill. They were aggressive, condescending, and unprofessional from the moment they opened their mouths. It was clear they weren’t interested in customer service or common courtesy—just in power-tripping over travelers who didn’t magically follow their unwritten rules. If you’re looking for a welcoming, reasonable stop—keep driving. There are plenty of better-run, friendlier campgrounds that don’t treat paying customers like trespassers.

Very kind staff and atmosphere of community. The views were breathtaking and the location is very close to Dog Mountain. The staff were very thoughtful about location and comfortability and provide touches from flowers to a fire on the weekend that foster feeling home away from home. I would live there if I could it was so nice.

We stayed here in July 2021 and loved it. Well kept, plenty of room beautiful scenery and friendly staff. They gave us a bag with lots of information on the area. The thing we enjoyed the most was the "Belly Ache Tour". They gave us a sheet with all the locations and directions so we were able to tour several areas of Vermont, see how maple syrup and apple cider were made, sampled all kinds of things out of maple (creamies were my favorite) and went to Ben and Jerry's factory. Thankful to Moose River Campground for telling us about this. If you are in this area, don't miss this campground.

Moose River was such a nice, quiet, beautiful campground! We found Moose River because we wanted to visit Stowe, VT. in October and Moose River was the only campground still open but it did not disappoint. We were extremely fortunate to get a seasonal site that had a yard and a view of the river. This was not the case for the other sites but there were many sites right on the river which was beautiful! All the sites seemed fairly easy to pull into and had a good amount of space. The owners, Mary and Gary, were very friendly and helpful and even provided bagels and muffins every Sunday free of charge. The only real downside was we had to work while we were there and our Verizon phones were not getting great service at all but if you’re not needing strong cell signal it obviously wouldn’t be an issue. Overall it was a great experience at a beautiful quiet campground and we would definitely stay there again!

This is the place for you if you love to relax. This was our first time there, and owners as so welcoming and helpful they make you feel at home.. I loved our site, it was grassy and right on the river. We could walk right in and our dog loved it too :) .The bonfire on Saturday night was wonderful as was the small gathering over cheese, deserts and finger sandwiches. This is a fantastic spot if you want a well kept, quiet campground with no children running around, There is really nothing for children there, no playground or recreation area.

We had a great weekend at Moose River campground. This cozy RV park has charm and beauty. Our site was roomy, an right on a picturesque shallow river. We enjoyed all of it's beauty and our dogs enjoyed taking a dip. The park is clean and we'll kept. The staff/ owners were very friendly. It's a great place to relax, not as loud and busy as some of the larger campgrounds we have been to. It had everything that we ask for. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
