The 2024 camping season is coming to an end - October 15th is always a sad day but the countdown starts to May 15th. This has been my 6 season at the campground. Love it there! Campground has great amenities - store on site; laundromat; propane fill on site; pool; playground; entertainment (bands) most weekends; craft/activities for kids on selected weekends; and access to trails. Like all campgrounds there are rules and if you follow them your stay will be great - if you don't follow them that will be addressed. Saw a post that several seasonals leaving - not sure that there are as many as people may think!. Some swapping out trailers; some take their trailers home for the winter; some may have been asked not to return; and for some life circumstances may not promote seasonal camping anymore. Thank you Rich, Lisa, Rachel, TJ, Tim and crew for another great season. See you in May!

Been camping here for 8 years doing a seasonal. Have seen a lot of progress and changes over the years. Currently they are adding a whole new area for new sites.. probably will be ready next year! First year we were there they had enough dock room for two boats. Now we have way better docks and pretty close to 20 boat slips. The Sebasticook lake is the perfect size to go boating and not get bored. Has good bass fishing as well and a few places you can pull up to and get out and swim. And a new marina has just arrived down by town if you need a place to rent or dock boats. Golf carts and atvs are allowed in campground. Anything not registered just can’t be on the atv trail. The camp ground is right on one of the best atv trails in Maine. Has bands or some kind of entertainment every two weeks. New playground, has a pool, arcade, basketball court and activities on most weekends for kids. And the camp store has a bit of everything (great beer selection) and is open everyday now! Most of the campground is seasonal but does have plenty of spots for campers on the move! Does have rules just like anywhere. Probably the biggest rule is 5mph. Dogs or pets are definitely encouraged just gotta keep them on a leash. If you follow the rules you’ll not have any problems. And the campground is ten mins away from town(Newport) which has everything. Also has public clean restrooms with showers and also a laundry mat if you need to do laundry. So I would definitely recommend it. Can’t really beat the seasonal price and electricity and sewer is included. Also has 2 cabins and a couple trailers to rent if you don’t have a camper.

This was our first time camping at Moosehead Trail Campground, and I had the best experience! You can’t beat the price for full hookup, they had a live band on Saturday night which was awesome! Direct access to ATV Trails leading you to amazing restaurants and some attractions. Camp store has everything you need plus more! Definitely recommend this campground if you have a toy hauler and want direct ATV access to the trails!

Quiet and really beautiful. Have been here for 2 months. I can hardly wait for next year. We will be back. Thank you again.

I've seen bad reviews on this place but my wife and I liked it. The seasonal folks we met were very nice as was the staff. Sites are mostly level. Pull thrus and full sewer hookups. Accommodating large rigs. And have 50 Amp service. We plan to go back. Needs a little more shade. But the trees are planted and will be full size eventually.

This was our first time camping here. We stayed a little over a week. We enjoyed it so much that we considered a seasonal site to ensure that we could stay here again. The trails and the riding were fantastic and the place is really clean and tidy. There are rules in place to abide by to ensure everyone enjoys their stay. Lisa was very accommodating. We have a 43 foot toy hauler and she wanted to ensure that we had a spot that we would be comfortable in. We lo e it here.
