Fantastic park! We visited in mid October and it was so quiet. Clean bathroom. Beautiful setting. Watched the sunrise over the lake. Spectacular.

Make sure you have a pdf map if you come in after hours. We were in site 282, which was wonderful, but we had a hard time finding it. We were confused by the private cabins in the park, but they were numbered properly using the green signs. I have included a picture of where you turn for that camping loop and a picture of the lake and campground from our site. I definitely would return if we are in the area again.

I came in late and left earlyish, for time restraint reasons. The website could have been a little easier to navigate, we were looking for a tent site, saw they were priced at 25$. But ended up in a 30$ site because we couldn't book a tent site from the website. We missed the park office by about 10 minutes, I'm sure if we arrived earlier it would have worked out much better, that said, we plan to spend some time there next summer.

A 3.5 star. It's not a bad spot BUT it does get a bit more focused with locals staying here for long periods of time. I would describe it as a tiny bit dodgy as you can tell by the darts and trash on the ground to having a lot of cans, meat, muffins and other garbage found in our fire pit (pulled into our spot at night in Aug). That's also an indication that not a lot or any wildlife around (for those curious). The pricing is very good and reasonable here with good/decent amenities (shower and washrooms). There's a lot of recreational activities you can partake in at this park plus a playground for kids. It's not bad if you're in and out for the night but for someone outside the city and wanting to stay longer, it's ok.
