Beautiful and interesting park. Plenty of hiking trails, a gift store, restrooms.

We took Muffin here and I was shocked at how far she walked! It’s mostly shady, which is super nice. There are benches and places to sit along all the trails which is great if you’re out of shape like me 🤣

There’s more to this park then meets the eye. At the center of it, Is this 2000 year-old Adena Hopewell earthwork that is a must see. Looks like a stage or a solar observatory to not only track celestial objects but to dance amongst the stars and moon. The state park is beautiful and well taken care of. I highly recommend coming here and taking a walk and checking out the scenery.

This is a beautiful park with easy trails and breathtaking views. At some point, I wondered if I should start looking for hobbit homes! The history of the mounds is really cool and the main reason for visiting!

The old Indian cultures centered in the Indiana, Ohio & Pennsylvania area were very advanced in certain skills & knowledge. There were hundreds of Mounds built that stretched into the South and Mid-Atlantic, too. Lined up in consonance withe the North Star and other planetary objects. This state park has excellent examples of them.

Pictures kinda describe my feelings when adventure was over!!! Ha. Be prepared to walk. Had mid age grandkids and a fine spring day to enjoy. Restrooms open at the time of our visit in April

I wanted to try Indiana state parks and mounds state park came up as something relatively close compared to the rest of the state parks. The hiking trail is great and there’s a variety of distance for everyone. we spent about 2 hours and the views plus overall surroundings were great.

Small park, lots of history. Sad that pool is closed, beautiful colors during spring and fall. Motorized camping, primitive tent camping area with restroom indoors. Multiple trails, White River scenic scenes. Indian mounds all over park. Motorized handicapped scooter can be borrowed from main office. Some trails are paved, most are dirt.

Although it's one of Indiana's smallest state parks, it's one of our favorites. Great hiking trails, the nature center is fun, and they have a lot of great events that go on seasonally. We occasionally camp and we like the campground quite a bit!
