We love Mountain Gate RV park when visiting family (❤️) in California. We have stayed here many times and always find them very accommodating. Nancy was a doll today, checking us in. Even when I accidently called her Karen😆 . Great sense of humor saying. "No Karen's here " 🤣. Bless you dear Nancy . You are awesome at your job 👏 and thank you ! The Phillips, Salem , Oregon

Great RV Park! Staff was wonderful. We went as a group from the Auburn-Grass Valley Elks RV Club. We took full advantage of their club house. It was a great place to hang out, cook meals and close to the pool.

I hear they have new owners and it is starting to show. It doesn’t seem like the grounds, pool, restrooms are as nice as they were a couple years ago. Hope the new owners aren’t going to let it go to make more profit! Clean things up

This place is lacking common sense and management! Take care of your customers, and they will return. Treat them like criminals, and they will leave you bad reviews and take their business elsewhere. You didnt need to act like were criminals. We "WERE" customers! We came to mountain gate to go boating on Shasta. We stayed for 2 nights with our cabover camper mounted on our new Ram truck. We also had in tow a 19ft family ski boat. Even though we "EASILY" fit into our spot with the boat and truck, the manager asked us to move the boat and leave it in overflow parking? We had almost 10ft of space left? This is something we have NEVER been asked to do? EVER! We do A TON of traveling through multiple states, always with something in tow! Without many options, were forced to leave our 30k boat with NO cover in an open, unsecured area. It has a $3000.00 stereo system, skis, and all of our water gear in it. Why leave it for the thieves and druggies? So you could flex your "manager" badge about rules? I moved it, but were NOT HAPPY about it at all. Its harassment of customer and horrible micro management. Pre this trip we booked 4 days with mountain gate for next week so we could come do some off-roading with our friends. Today as we leave the "Manager" told us we would have to leave our trailer with a 200k offroad car in the parking lot, and could not have it in our spot behind our truck. I HAVE NEVER heard of such crap. The 14ft trailer is shorter than the boat trailer! WTH! She showed ZERO empathy or care. Needless to say we cancelled the reservation and will not be back! The pics on here have trailers connected? Stay away from here!

We use this place as a stopover to getting into the homestretch to the Willamette Valley when we have been traveling in the southwest. It always has a spot for us and is very clean and good showers. It is well maintained and has lovely trees. The only downside is that it's located directly beside Interstate 5 highway and ther is constantly alot of traffic noise. But it works for a stopover.
