The Good: the staff was great! Ready to help, great attitude. We had shade at our site so that was great. Nice hookups. Nice cement pads. Nice fire pits. Level site. Nice hookups. The Bad: absolutely terrible internet, even the staff couldn't get it to work for us and two other campers with us. EXTREME road noise from Hwy 50...all day and night!!! The residents that live next to the campground have two dogs that bark all the time. That same neighbor has three horses, and they left the smelly horse droppings the entire 4 days of our stay. The dumpster is in the center of the park for convenience, but the days we were there it really stunk. Our water pressure was bad...barely enough to shower. It was so low, it didn't register on my pressure gauge.

We throughly enjoy this campground mid Sept 2025 where is was only half full thus very quiet this time of year. But what stood out was how clean and nice the grounds are! The firepits were clean, no weeds in the gravel are, clean laundry & bathrooms. Love the concrete patio and sidewalk each site had. Overall great experience, thank you!!!!

Campground was very clean. But…we will never stay here again!! Paul, the owner was very RUDE!!! Our daughter decided to stay with us and arrived later, he was extremely curt with her and patronizing . He added charges without consulting us first…(very money hungry)!! When we asked about the charges he was very rude to us! We have been camping for over 45 years, we are not new to the normal rules of a campground- including dog leash rules and cleaning up after them. Get a life, Paul. And take some PR classes!! On the other hand, “Red” and Sue were extremely nice and helpful!

We spent a week in this region, using the RV park as our base camp. Our site, #11, was private, had a great little concrete patio and table/chairs, was immaculate and had an incredible view of the mountains. I think we had the best site! The entire park was clean, well kept and secure. Our interactions with staff were all friendly and welcoming.

This is the most well kept and beautiful rv resort that we have been to. The sites are nice, spacious. It's all gravel but mostly level. We leaned to the driver's side a little but not enough to be annoyed with. Nice little concrete patio areas for each site. They have some back in sites. Very nice people that work the resort. Thumbs up to all of you, your doing a great job. Beautiful views of the mountains. Be adventurous. You won't regret it.

This RV Resort is very nice. Sue, at the front desk is professional, friendly, informative, and pleasant to deal with. Red, the person that helps you to your site was friendly, and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and had a perfect premium plus site. The resort is clean and well maintained. Though we did not have a need for the bath house or laundry. I did go in them, and they too were clean and well maintained. I did not play basketball though there is a court, and I did not play corn hole though it is available. I did however play horseshoes, at the horseshoe pit, and old school game that is still a lot of fun. This resort is a great little place to stay, and have no problems recommending this Mountain View RV Resort.

Unfortunately never got the chance to actually stay. We were on our way to another destination and were going to do a one-night stay here in between. My husband booked it and the day of our drive up, we knew we'd be a bit later and wanted to just give a heads up and get information on how to navigate the site a bit later (9 pm). So, we made a call to the site and the person on the other end told us that no, we could not come later, as they close and lock the gates at 5 pm. And also laughed when my husband was surprised he hadn't seen that in the booking itself and basically offered no solution or help in where we might stay otherwise. We were dumbfounded that he said that "you could leave after 5, but you can't get back in." Imagine if a guest went to grab grocery items or have a meal and came back to locked gate at 5 pm! I'm sorry, I have a personal policy not to leave poor reviews because everyone has bad days, but I found this truly confusing and frustrating, as we also had our 2 and 4-year-old children, and it left us with no place to stay at that moment! Thankfully, we could find a very nice spot at Lake Pueblo State Park last-minute that happily took our money and allowed us entry (and exit if needed) after 5:00 pm! They're policy apparently states that arrivals 30 minutes after sunset (9pm for early summer or 8pm around labor day), would not be allowed in the park. We had stated that we should arrive around (likely before) 9pm- still no allowance whatsoever. Would not recommend this place. Unfortunate! Looking at other poor reviews, I know the responder will rant about how we should have read the rules and policy. I don't fully disagree on that point, however, it should be in any listing as well. They will likely say they "offered to let us drydock outside the campground", which was nothing more than them saying "you can park in our parking outside the gates". Realistically, we'd have been getting there still in right at or just before the stated time with small children, but no. And apparently according to reviews, small children aren't welcome either, so I guess that makes no difference to them. So we'd have been paying the site fee to sit out in a parking lot with our small kids because they didn't feel it was allowable to let us in likely before their own stated cutoff time! It very much felt like this was something they do often, which made it feel even more odd as it's clear from reviews that others have had the same issue, making it feel even a bit "scammy". Moreover, the sarcastic, bad attitude of the person on the phone was completely unnecessary and simply translates to poor service. READ THE RULES and find print. Apparently, we didn't, and it bit us in the end, however, the rules seem over-the-top and outlandish for RV travelers.

Very quiet and laid back park. Big pull thru sites. Full hookups. Level gravel sites. Beautiful location for great sunset views and the snow capped mountains in the distance. Will definitely stay here again when coming thru. At&t and T-Mobile work here. We don't have a Verizon phone, so can't tell you if it works or not. Red guided us to our spot. Nice and clean park. It also has a gate that stays shut but you have a code to get in. Felt very safe.

This RVPark is one of our favorite for the location and quiet setting. The Mountain View name is appropriate as the views are spectacular. We love to watch the hoses and dogs in the adjoining yard. Plenty of hiking trails and outdoor activities to keep you busy. Looking forward to our 2 months here this spring/summer.

I will start with the good before the bad 1. The campground is in a beautiful area 2. Very clean and well maintained Now for the bad, when we arrived we parked next to a HUGE bump that we didn't see and there were no signs saying bump. We followed the owner behind his golf cart to our cabin and went over the bump at 3 miles per hour and it cracked our muffler in half. When I spoke to Paul he said if you went 5 miles per hour that wouldn't have happened. So we got blamed for their terrible bump. Also in the cabin it says if you take the key there will be a 5 dollar charge. We wanted to keep the key for memories so we left 10 dollars in the cabin for them. We then get a phone call after we checked out saying he is charging us 20 dollars for the key. We said we left 10 dollars and the sign said 5. He said it costs .ore than that.. we wouldn't have taken the key if we knew it was 20 bucks. He then hung up on us after we told him look we didn't complain about the bump and even left extra and he continued to charge us the 20 bucks. You pay almost 10 bucks for 5 slices of wood and the store hours is posted 10 a.m. but I went to talk to them at 10:15 and the office was still closed and he got upset when I saw him working in the office and knocked on the door. This was our first campspot experience and was disappointed. We will be back in the area but will not be choosing Mountain view for our stay.

Very nice park. Super clean and well maintained. Pet friendly which is huge for us! Very nice showers and office /shop. All gravel roads around the park and very nice concrete pads at every site with picnic tables and plenty of room for chairs. Short drive to all the touristy stuff around the Royal Gorge area (like 5 minutes) and only 5-10 minutes back into Canon City if you need something. Also super friendly staff, especially Red who helped escort us to our site and also help me disconnect my Toad!

Very nice RV Park. Well maintained. Owners and staff keeps the park immaculate. Gravel roads and gravel sites with large patios including comfy chairs. Very accommodating. We had to extend our stay due to business issues. Lovely view of Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Park has easy access off Hwy 50. Road noise all day but quiets down at night. Sites are well spaced out some with hardy bushes between sites so you’re not looking at your neighbors. No dog park but a “”grassy” area that is mostly weeds to walk your dog on leash not loose. It would be very nice if they fenced that area in to make it a real dog park. Laundry room is small with just one washer and 2 dryers. Staff very friendly! A shout out to Red who is very helpful. If they had a better laundry room and fenced dog area I would have given them a 5 star rating.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Mountain View. That's the perfect name for this lovely campground. We stayed at Site #11 with our travel trailer and the view of the mountains was breathtaking. Clean, quiet, and welcoming with easy access to all that Canon City has to offer. We hope to come back again sometime soon!

One of best manicured campgrounds I have ever stayed in. The camp sites are large, gravel spaces with picnic tables and fire pits, Some even have short sidewalks. The campground has a few trees, a basketball court and a small play ground for the kids. If you bring your dogs you will be happy to know there are 2 very nice dog walking areas. The restrooms are the best I have ever seen in a campground. They look like they are from a 5 star resort. The views are Spectacular from this campground. Folks with big rigs will love it here, very easy to get around. The owners are very pleasant people willing to help you in any way.
