It is a place where RV travelers can truly disconnect and enjoy the rhythmic flow of the river while surrounded by over 1,200 acres of protected forest and diverse wildlife.
Location & Surroundings
Tucked away in Perry County, the park is positioned along a stretch of the Tennessee River once used for shipping and tanning industries. The surrounding terrain features high ridges and deep hollows, typical of the Highland Rim landscape. The campground is designed to accommodate various rig sizes, and guests benefit from modern bathhouses and a dedicated boat ramp for easy water access. For those who enjoy land-based recreation, the park maintains several miles of hiking and mountain biking trails that weave through the dense hardwoods.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor activities are the main draw, with fishing for catfish, bass, and crappie being popular among visitors. Boaters can spend the day exploring the scenic riverbanks or docking at nearby marinas for a day on the water. A short drive away, the Buffalo River offers some of the best paddling and canoeing in the state, while the town of Linden offers a charming look at local Tennessee heritage.

Awesome state park. The primitive camp sites are amazing. First night we had the whole campground to ourselves. 14, 9 and 1, and 19 are the most in the shade if you are seeking shaded spots. The rest of the park was very well maintained. Most facilities are newly renovated and all are very clean. The 3 mile scenic trail was a beautiful moss covered trail. The beach water depth around the beach wasn't any higher than chest high for hundreds of yards into the water. All around a fantastic experience. The grounds keepers and rangers were a pleasure to talk to. Say hi to the screech owl who lives in the office. This park is a great example of the TN State Park system

Great week. I was able to do some hiking, some reading, and disconnect from the world. VERY week Verizon and AT&T cell signal meant a wonderful time. It is beautiful there. Very quiet

The campground is on top of a very steep incline. When you get to the top, the camping pads are well kept and level. The sites have 50, 30, and 20 amp service and water hookups. The shower house is nice and clean and there is, also, a laundry. The campground is very shaded and quiet. There is access to Spring Creek in the park.

Great little, low key spot for fishing or just getting away from the hustle and bustle. Do you want to be close to the water, or away from the mega RVs and the family golf carts. This is the spot and you still have access to the amenities of the main park, bathhouse , laundry, swimming beach. All with out the expense of the comforts of city life. Make friends with the ports potty and bring you own water source. You can get a decent WiFi signal out on the point.
