Mt Baker-Snoqualmie/Denny Creek
Overview
Situated within the breathtaking Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Denny Creek Campground offers a quintessential Pacific Northwest camping experience. This US Forest Service site serves as a serene gateway to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, providing a lush, evergreen canopy for RVers and tent campers alike. It is one of the most popular destinations in the region, known for its proximity to cascading water and ancient forests.
Location & Surroundings
Located just off Interstate 90 near Snoqualmie Pass, the campground is easily accessible for those traveling from the Seattle metro area. Despite its proximity to the highway, the site feels worlds away, nestled along the banks of the South Fork Snoqualmie River and Denny Creek. The surrounding terrain is defined by rugged peaks, towering Douglas firs, and the misty atmosphere of the Cascade Mountains.
Amenities & Park Features
Denny Creek is more rustic than a private resort, but it caters well to RVers with paved parking spurs and specific sites offering electrical hookups. Facilities include vault and flush toilets, potable water stations, and trash collection. Each site features a picnic table and fire ring, perfect for evening gatherings. While there are no water or sewer hookups at individual sites, the well-maintained paved roads accommodate most mid-sized rigs comfortably.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The primary draw is the direct access to the Franklin Falls Trail, an easy hike leading to a spectacular 70-foot waterfall. Families often flock to the nearby Denny Creek natural waterslides, where smooth rocks create a playful environment in the mountain runoff. For more ambitious travelers, the campground serves as a basecamp for the Pacific Crest Trail and numerous high-alpine lakes that define this stunning wilderness corridor.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is ideal for nature-loving families and outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize trail access over luxury resort amenities. It is a fantastic choice for RVers who enjoy a dry-camping vibe with the added benefit of power at select sites. If you are looking for a mountain escape that captures the raw beauty of Washington State while remaining close to modern conveniences in North Bend, this is your spot.

Great place lovely sites, close to the hiking trails, lovely to hear the water going past. We get the pleasure of being the camp host. Love meeting and grating the new people that come in.

Five nights reserved here. Rainy and freeway noise. We live in this area and really used to both. Very pretty here.

nice park, tidy and spacious. creek is wonderful. But, unlike prior review, it is NOT peaceful. I'm hard of hearing, but the grind of trucks and traffic topping the pass on I90 was a challenge to sleep in a tent. if in an RV with good insulation, you will likely sleep better than I did.

Main space was good size but trailer parking was way to small. Sites were clean hosts were friendly and helpful.

Very nice shaded camp ground with easy access to hiking trails. These are not full hook up sites so plan to bring water jugs. Electric is available.
