Decently maintained campground with an incredibly nice camp host! However, be prepared to get absolutely no sleep! You will be right next to the road. Additionally, campsites are EXPENSIVE especially if you have more than one car. Good for a last minute overnight, but would not be my first choice.

We camp there every year. Have for years. This time something has changed. Staff there aren't doing things safely and right.I just visited over the Labor Day weekend. Long story short I fell over a high stump in between the restroom path. Unlit! Very dark! No way to see the danger before you! I'm in bed resting it off, hoping that I didn't break my Left side ribs or something worse! Missing work!! This is inexcusable! Camping you expect some things to be natural but we're talking a common area that should either be destumped or well lit! I'm thinking of getting a lawyer.

Nestled in along the twists and turns of the Verlot River, the Verlot Campground boasts amazing views with minimalist camping perfection. There are bathrooms easily accessible, with flush toilets, potable water spouts, and communal dumpsters. Of course being so close to the water, the mosquitos were mosquitoing 🤣 but a little citronella will do the trick! While I couldn’t see bringing my 40ft trailer here due to size restrictions (contrary to the website) it was perfect for the roof top tent set up! Small bonus (to me) this was out of cell reception 🙌🏻 so it was nice to be unplugged!

Nice off the grid campground, No hook-ups, but fresh water available at water spickets. Good restroom facilities, no showers or hot water. Not maintained very well. The men's room ran out of supplies on the 4th of July. They should have been restocked before hand.

Small but beautiful campground along the river. There are some gorgeous trails nearby. I highly recommend this camp area along with hiking Trail Twenty-Two! We had an enchanting two-day visit here. The only thing is there are no showers, so bring some wet wipes! We would love to come back again :)

Pretty decent drive in camp site. Recommend trying to get the sites by the stream. Quiet area with set tent pitch sites, fire pits, and bathrooms. Running non-potable water available. Also just down the road before entering the national forest is a small market shop selling all sorts of goods.

I didn't camp there but drove through this weekend and was appalled at what I saw! Where are the trees, and why has the current caretakers taking care. Seems like the government gets to make more money from that also. All the good sites are reserved and there are no first come sites that are in a decent place. I for one will never camp there again and I've been camping up there for all my 62 years . Almost makes me cry

Beautiful, I just wished it had hook ups

One of my favorite places to get away from the world (out of cell service) and relax.
