Great location, as they are located right on the water. Nice views. We asked and received confirmation that we were getting a full hook-up site, to be surprised at arrival that they only had a few full hook-ups, and we did not make the cut. We were there for 4 night, and arrived with full tanks. They did attempt to make it better by moving us near the water, however, those sites were also NOT full hook-up. You can't expect guests to unhook halfway through their stay, tow their RV to the dump station and then reconnect (we had to). Further.... There was some type of sewage work being done while we were there, and our site was downwind from this mess. For two days we had raw sewage smell permeating though the sites by the water. The staff was not helpful with any of the issues we brought to them. Mind you, they did smiled while telling us they had no help, and they did say "sorry". End of the day, they ruined what could have been a perfectly good vacation to Bar Harbor. Rest assure we will not be back (not that they care one bit). This is no way to run a "hospitality" business.

This is my opinion and should be taken as such. This was our first time staying here. The surrounding area was pretty stellar. Acadia, Bar Harbor and all the other touristy things to do. The campground was ok. The sites on the water have pretty great views, but they are tiny. Not really a lot of acreage. The campground itself seems to be in need of some attending to. The heated pool was pretty nice The staff was pleasant, the store was nice. I would probably visit elsewhere if we came back. Middle of the road campground.

We called them days leading up to our stay, every day. We wouldn’t get a call back until the next day. No one ever answered the phone. The sites were nice but close together. I think the sites here are hit or miss. Showers were hot except for the older ones (check shower head). People did tend to stay quiet come 10PM. Bathrooms were clean. Overall the campground is maintained.

We enjoyed our time at Mt Desert Narrows Campground. Our site was just across the street from the waterfront sites so we had great views. These sites seem to be a bit wider than some of the others. From reservation to check in, to our departure the staff were wonderful. It's obvious that they love and take pride in this campground. There is a food trailer that appears to stay there near the office and recreation building. The bath houses were very clean even at different times during our stay and with a lot of sites full and a large group of tent campers in a separate area. It was quiet and peaceful. Very convenient to many restaurants and lobster shacks. Acadia and Bar Harbor are just down the road. There are some local shops, gas stations and grocery stores nearby and Walmart and Home Depot are not too far away but far enough that you can easily forget about the bustle that comes with towns large enough to have those stores. We look forward to staying here again.

This is a wonderful campground. Highly recommend. We loved that you can take the free shuttle to Bar Harbor and Acadia national Park. You can take your bikes on the free shuttle and dogs are allowed to. Thanks for an amazing vacation. My wife and I went kayaking at the campground. Highly recommend being back at camp and off of the water before the tide goes out. Low tide . We got stuck in the mud and had to walk back carrying our kayaks. Be safe out there.

The staff was very cheerful and helpful. When we arrived they alerted us to the fact that their water contained iron and they provided us with drinking water. Overall our stay was pleasant with the kiddos enjoying the basketball 🏀 court and the playground.

If you intend on going to Bar Harbor or Acadia National Park then this is a great campground. They are on the sound with great views. The sites are fairly large and most are pretty level, but some are on a bank so make sure you have materials to do some serious leveling. They do have a nice pool and a common use building with an arcade and pool table. There are 2 shower houses/bathrooms that are older, but clean and we'll maintained. Finally a well stocked camp store with friendly people.

Located close to Acadia, which was a plus. We stayed at a pull-through, full hookup site for 4 nights. Some of the sites are on the water with amazing views. HOWEVER, we did notice many RV sites that were not level at all! We were grateful that we didn't get assigned one of those because we don't carry gear to accommodate for that type of hill....some RVs were parked on stacks of wood blocks to level-up. So just be sure to request a flat spot, if you need one, or be prepared with a couple of feet of leveling gear.

We stayed at the cabin in the campgrounds. Beautiful ocean views, nice heated pool, lots to do there. Enjoyed our time there.

Convenient location. Great pool. Clean bathrooms and showers. Friendly staff. Visited during covid so some activities were closed but this was a great "base camp".
