LAND ROVER
This was a very nice campground, close to Bar Harbor on a big hill, down by the water close to an airport big sites. Nice people clean campground easily accessible right off the main road. Plenty of space. Hot water have to say mount. Desert narrows, campground is a place I'll come back to. If I come back to Bar Harbor 5 stars

I don't know how anyone could possibly give this campground a bad review! Our experience was absolutely amazing! Alex and Jewel were the best people you could have in any front office. When we arrived we were greeted with huge smiles and whenever we were in the office it was the same. Our arrival was smooth as they already had everything organized for our stay. We felt like they had been waiting for our visit and were excited to see us. The grounds were easy to maneuver around with our 30 ft travel trailer, and it was one of the cleanest parks we have been to. The laundry room was very clean and we had no trouble at all with the wifi. Our view from our site was not on the water but we could see the water and sunset and it was beautiful. We will definitely be back and we can't wait!!. Thank you Alex and Jewel for making this a great stop for us.

Loved this place. Perfect location only 2 miles onto the island. Great sites with water views including electric and water. No sewer on the water, but the dump station was very accessible. Awesome touch with welcome snacks in the office. Got kids? They’ve got a pool, basketball court and small playground.

The better sites don’t have sewer hookups. The section we stayed in had full hookups but also many seasonal campers. The site across from us had anywhere from seven to 11 kids playing on full screech all day and evening. Cute kids but not a quiet camping experience we usually enjoy at campgrounds. Also , the WiFi was non-existent. Would not book there again.
Middle Cross Ranch
Nice campground in need of some upkeep. The grass is tall and the place looks overgrown. I don’t know if they’re trying to preserve the wild flowers or what, but the place would look a lot more appealing if the yards were kept neatly mowed. When we arrived, all the dumpsters were filled to overflowing, but they were dumped the next day. The people at the desk were super nice and accommodating. The views over the bay are pretty, at least when the tide is up. The pool is really shallow and closes earlier than any place I’ve been. The busses stop here regularly, so it’s really convenient if you want to go exploring. Over all, one of the better campgrounds in the area.
