Host was wonderful (and their pittie super sweet!), & recommended a gorgeous site for us for the single night we stayed. So glad we stopped here. It was a beautiful, serene spot! Seriously my favorite campsite of about 10 in the last 3 weeks roadtrip. I may be biased because we had been at Mt Rainiers campground the night before, and there hadn't been space for our tent at the walk-in site we managed to get, so we had to squeeze it & our van into the parking space, plus had multiple dumpsters with a fence around them basically right next to our tent, and then the bathrooms were on the other side of the car/tent area, so people kept thinking our campsite next to dumpsters was the path to the bathrooms... I digress... Camp Creek was nothing like that! There was more than plenty of room at the walk-in site we had, plus a bonus beautiful creek nearby, and the contrast was SUCH a relief! 1000x better!

Felt so secluded and private. You could barely hear the other people because the creek blocked out noise, so it was super peaceful. Trees kept it shady and cool. Would camp here again

The best surprise of our road trip. No reservations, never heard of Camp Creek but we'll be back. The camp host was on top of getting us settled into a nice site on the creek that someone had cancelled on. Really dark at night and the creek babbled the entire time. The host really makes this one special.

We came to our reserved campsite 006 at 4pm. Our host greeted us with the warmest smile and gave us a small introduction to herself and of Mount Hood. Our campsite was beautiful and was close-by to the bathrooms that were clean and the well that is used to wash cookware. The campsites were well spread apart and our spot had 2 trees perfect to tie a hammock up to! There is a nice trail behind the campground with a creek with lots of rushing water. Best campsite ever!

This rustic campground w/ vault toilets and shared water spigots, is a little gem. Adjacent to the hwy, you will hear road noise. It didn't bother me very much and calms down at the usual night hours. Its history makes it unique....built originally as a CCC camp in the 1930s, turned public CG after CCC disbanded. The camp host (at the time of this writing) is, more than happy to share what she has dug up and made the stay interesting for me. Site 18 (see pictures) has the largest diameter tree in the area. Clean, dog friendly and a very nice setting. With that said, I wouldn't bring in anything larger then a long van, or a short trailer set up. There are a couple of short pull throughs. A LOT of trees, narrow road will make it challenging for larger units. If you're looking for a quick overnight spot and there is ANYWAY she can fit you in, she will. Hope this helps someone
