I don't get the new reviews, this place has been closed for years. We just drove by it again yesterday (6/3/2023) on our way from the MacDonald Campground to the Laird Hot Springs. Its still borded up and the gates all locked with No Trespassing signs. It was also boarded up back in 2019 in mid June.

Just keep driving. Of our 6 week camping tour of North America, Canada, and Alaska- this was our absolute worst stop. We came in around 11 pm after a long day of travel, intending to settle up in the morning (like we had done several times before). The owner came up about 5 minutes knot is setting up. We greeted him with a friendly hello and he immediately barked "You can go up and register or you can pack it up". We were caught off guard by his demeaning and criminalizing tone but tried to disarm the situation by explaining it was really late and we were planning to settle up in the morning. Before we could even get out that we were happy to settle up righ then, he went on an angry rant about how he owned the land and we could register or get out. We laughed and immediately packed up- we didn't want to stay in a place with such hateful and unfriendly owners. On the way out we stopped near the office where the owners wife was standing. I got out of the car to let her know about our experience and she too started acting aggressively towards us. Of all the bears we came across on our trip- these two were the scariest.
