Had the whole campground to myself. Quiet, peaceful. Citrus tract offers great hiking. Been here 3 times now. Lake was a bit small for the kayak, but it was nice to float around in.

This campground was pretty but the restroom lights didn't work in the men's room and there is a no alcohol rule in camp. Some of us are traveling and can't exactly empty our cars to not possess alcoholic beverages when we collect craft beers from across the state/country... I have typically never had a bad camping experience but this stay was the exception. We had a neighbor that ran his generator all evening and morning. There should be a decibel limit on generators, they had an old, very loud, whole-house generator. Update: Came back a year later and there are new restrooms. They have 4 unisex stalls with showers. The water was hot but they could have fit 2 more in the same space to reduce congestion. They also do not drain very well. At&t cellular reception is decent.

Wonderful experience :) Very well maintained and clean. I believe it’s only $10 per night for camping. No electricity but has water faucet, fire pit and picnic table as you can see in the pic. They offer free firewood as well so we added some donation when we purchased the ticket online. There are two bathrooms and I actually saw a electrical outlet outside the female bathroom if someone really need to charge their phone. Visited here from Monday-Friday during May so it’s only us and maybe 2 more other families here. Fairly close to crystal river for manatee and one hour drive to Tampa for some authentic Chinese food. 30min drive to the amazing Rainbow Springs. Absolutely will come back

The campsite was great for our needs. Water only, no electric. It can be a bit of a walk to the bathroom if you are on the end of the sites. 1 and 13 being the furthest away and 5 and 6 right near the bathroom. Trails nearby are for hikers only. No bikes etc allowed. Gate is locked and requires a code sent by email when reserving a site.

Very peaceful and excellent hiking trails from easy to intermediate Update: the best hiking trail there around the lake has collapsed due to rain and storms. My family and i are going to miss it.

This was the best campsite we stayed in during our van life summer trip, on recommendation of Richard @ #EscapeCampervansOrlando this campsite was unlike other Florida locations. I’d like to come back to Mutual Mine to explore for days next summer!! Beautiful vegetation, challenging hike to real phosphate mining caves and our double campground had a “backyard” area and lush vegetation cover!

Open air bathrooms, no showers. Campground #3, #2, and #1 are nicely spaced apart and #1 is quite secluded with steps behind it leading down to a clearing in front of the lake. The trails are very nice and you can explore the old caves. Overall great almost primitive camping experience.

Good campground with lots of shade. 13 sites with water but no electricity, don't count on finding power at the bathrooms either. Water at each site can be a little ways away from where you want it, so bring a hose. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained, but are open air and older, so keep that in mind. Also can be a bit of a walk from one side of the campground. Lots of hiking, a lake ( but couldn't get close enough for fishing ) and generally very scenic for central FL.

Fun place to camp would recommend. The fish follow you which is odd but fun. Bathrooms are decently clean.

So far nice weekend getaway. Lots of shade and views of the lake. Water at site is a plus no electric which is ok with me. No pets allowed which is actually nice left pets home with family, love them but it's a nice break. Sitting here listening and all I can hear is the insects talking to eachother and cars in the far distance.
